  1. lol now theres ambition......
  2. Rob may i ask how would the icv affect the engine running with the rolla ecu... i assumed that it would be a difference in pins in the ecu cables, i mean wires going to different pins then in the starlet ecu and wiring
  3. i agree with toby about the lightweight flywheel as i fitted lightweight pulleys to my engine and it revs alot easier then standard did so i can imagine what the lightweight fly would do. as for your comment on the jap 5e na's i didn't know that... i always agree that when dealing with starlets its a "whole car " approach
  4. ok mate i meant to wrap the exhaust manifold and down pipe leading to the cat... what this is suppose to do is effectively insulate the exhaust manifold which would keep the heat from the exhaust gases in the exhaust....this would then lower the tempeture of the air within the engine bay...helping to lower the temp of the air intake thus giving u more power. this would help u alot if u have fitted the blitz air filter but have not fitted a cold air feed. but it will help u even more if u have the cold air feed fitted if u search for exhaust wrap on ebay u will see lots of it, i just bought sum
  5. its just a different ecu and injectors i believe....not sure if they will work in the starlet
  6. fit a 7afe throttle body port and polish your inlet manifold fit new ht leads and iridium plugs wrap the exhaust rite up to the cat. upgraded fuel pressure regulator get the fuelling checked now hks exhaust u say is that a turbo exhaust moded to fit an n/a
  7. gud question man but i would believe that it all depends how sophisticated the computer system behind them is going to be and what information that system can acess....... sumthing very powerful with access to vehicle registration and driver data could do that.... that kind of system would be insane expensive imo
  8. oh that i don't doubt idress but from previous threads there was alot longer selection to pick from, so i though that these mods would be the best bet to get anyone up to the 100 bhp mark..... omi these mods would make any starlet very nimble engine wise i mean......
  9. TB is throttle body its the thing thats between the air filter pipes and the manifold
  10. a bit extra power but its the additional torque where the 5efte wins if u wanna know ,more bout the conversion then search on here or try hardcore ep91
  11. id go for a filter like this its the best u can get http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMC-CDA-Carbon-Dynam...1QQcmdZViewItem but remember u need to do work to the handling and brakes aswell to be able to use all that new power properly
  12. yes there are 2 end links these bolt onto the lower wish bone thing as for the bushings theyre bolted on to the underneath of the body once the car is jacked up u really cant miss them
  13. hey mart just wondering where did u get the conversion done what was the service like from them???
  14. aahh its all gud thanx man, i was out at the drifting soon after it started but i couldnt seen a bloody thing wiht the crowd out there.... crazy it was
  15. i just want to ask sumthing here. as yere talking exhausts ive seen an apexi back box on the yahoo auctions and have looked into it apexi sell an insert that u place into the exhaust tail pipe which is suppose to reduce noise....do there sound reducers really work or are they crap???
  16. sorry mikey dude from that list i would go for a 5efe personally as it just an updated 4e with greater displacement. i hope to fit one in a year or 2 and build it to crazy power.. but if u want to be fast and poor be creative.......
  17. to answer your question YES u can put in abigger engine but there are several things to consider cost- the more mental engine that u want to put in more the more u gotta pay handling/braking- fitting a huge heavy engine will mess up the weight of the front end so will require work in the handling and brakes insurance engine swap = mega insurance cost engine bay size- u only got so much usable space under the hood now for what u can fit with the easiest first 5efe 5efhe 4efte/5efte 4age whatever version u want the MR2 engine i cant remember the mane
  18. rikoo give over on him..... nice lights mate they look different as im not used to seeing them... not my favorite but still dam gud... but on a serious note get rid of that sticker....
  19. ok u need sum if not all of the following to get 100bhp rite this has been asked before but to recap get rid of that filter and get a better one like the BMC CDA and fit a cold air feed good quality exhaust system like the blitz one as said iridium spark plugs better ht(spark plug) leads proabably best to put in a new dizzy cap and rotor arm in your distributor wrap the exhast and manifold TRD thinner head gasket advance the ignition timing 7AFE throttle body get it ported and polished when fitting it port and polish the rolla mani glanza s injectors after all that u mite be close to the 100
  20. well i said id add my bit my starlet has 128,000 odd propper miles on it. its an na engine and it runs as gud as it did when came out of the factory i always have and always will describe the 4efe as bullet proof asl ong as it has been looked after with regular services.
  21. because im completely and utterly useless at photo shop it takes me ages to do anything with it
  22. to take it off just undo the endlinks and take off the rubber d bushings that are underneath then there shouldnt be much more holding it on. if u do it rite then nuthing fatal should come off.....
  23. hey montanajr time for the daly thick question how long would this take on average on photo shop???
  24. that does sound like a gud idea
  25. i agree whole heartedly rubix i believe that the government should give people better driving skills instead of the joke of a driving test that is in place. while i don't know what the driving test is like for ye, in Ireland they're more concerned with pushing as many people trough the test at the moment due to a change in the laws governing learner drivers. also the test doesn't seem to be concerned with what peoples reactions would in the event of a high speed accidents i believe that people need to be though how to drive (fast.....,well maybe not rally car fast) safely then it is an adults
