hey mate to get the power windows working ud need elec motors and regulators to suit the wiring loom form the doors the switches

can some one confirm i was looking at the photos of the cars is there a white R35 in this film...if so ill go just to see that...

its from a paseo i believe, but i cant give u more of a definitive answer then that

i have a photo that i found on the net of a 5efe wiring loom is this any good to u is has the basic connectors marked on it also.

is it even possible to fit a honda B16b engine (civic type R Vtec engine)in a starlet or even more to the point why?? ;) honestly i wouldnt see the point of sticking a honda engine in a toyota starlet... BUY a honda civic it would take: mega money just to install the motor if even possible. an entirely new set of electronics to run everything. best to go the 5e route imo cheaper... and a lot less painfull

my opinion mate get a gud low milage 5e and build that up to a very high standard and spec.... best things bout the 5e is its a decent engine with gud mods so u wont have to worry bout turbo'ing it rite away also your doing sumthing different then dropping in a 4efte...

oh they have a chain on your one.. now i havnt seen that on one before, i never seen a chain on the one that they use at my collage. they sound like right tight f**ker in your place.

i always wondered if it were possible to cut through one of those clamps with a mini angle grinder without ruining your wheels anyway... i don't see how u would need to remove the wishbone for it.....

ya i guess that they could be used as more of a secondary battery then a primary like what i want.

are they??? i have absolutely no experience with them, ive seen them in a few car audio installs as well so i though they mite be good for my needs

ok folks i had some battery troubles over the weekend...so i fancy upgrading to some form of heavy duty set up i want yer opinions on what brands and or what type of battery is best to invest. im mainly after a battery that will power my audio for longer then the standard toyota battery i currently use... also are the yellow topped optima batteries any good???

u should have no real problems id say... ultimately go for coliovers and u got full height adjustablity......

i think that he means that the valves in the head bounce at 6700 to 6800 rpms. what this means (i think) is that the springs on the valves in the head are not strong enough to keep the valves closed at the higher revs... meaning that the valves will spontanteously open of their own accord....Not Good.....

oh yeah maybe i should hav mentioned that... the c160 gearbox appears to be relatively hard to come by in Ireland if theyre not in use so we....maybe i should bring one in from the UK..... but to get back to the point i agree that it would be a great addition to any N/A.

oh i don't doubt that u could mod the 5sp linkage to suit...but the cheapest 6 speed box i found was 700 euro which is £550 aprox just for the box before the labor was even factored into it.

hey enzo i did consider changing over to that gear box as it does offer a nice upgrade. the down side i found is that while u mite be able to get one cheap on here now and again, if your looking to convert to that gbox then ull end up paying mega bucks for a gearbox and linkages.....i found it almost impossible to source a box..and when i did it was silly money....i could literally have bought everything for my suspension set up eg anti lift, front and rear ARB's, trd bushings and strut braces.

hey man that one should be ok, i believe that the oem headgasket is 1.00mm thick u can also get a 0.5mm TRD head gasket which be slightly better again. im not sure what difference this will make in bhp terms but it will deffo help u along your way for more power.

yeah i agree wit u Rich i kinda want to keep the starlet N/A as well, mainly because its my daily driver and i can't have it off the road converting it to turbo. also i want to see how much u can get out of the 4efe anyway and then go 5efe.......
