  8. Mate! I've had the BOV in pieces numerous times!! Used surgical pliers to get that feckin' circlip out, but anyway, had the brass piston out and cleaned it and the inside of the BOV with WD40 (had lots of grime in there). it didn't seem too siezed in the first place to be honest. I then replaced the piston and used 3 different types of lube, multipurpose grease, CV grease and then multipurpose lubricant oil...also tried it with no lube, just really well clean, but with the MP grease it worked for a day or two...I noticed that the brass piston has been scored quite badly...£85 down th
  9. Hey, My brother bought a Blitz BOV for his GT4 awhile back and over easter he came home with his car,so naturally I asked him to take me out for a spin in it...and I noticed that the BOV wasn't working at all! He thought the flutter he was hearing was the BOV dumping (muppet, I know!). So I initally thought it was siezed; so I took it all apart, cleaned it and greased it with multipurpose grease. It worked fine for 2 days or so then stopped working. Having bought it off someone who said they were running it on a GT4 running 1.2Bar I assumed it could have had a harder spring in it...so I bou

  16. He says that the ones he sells are slightly different and have a greater clamping force, but when I contacted CAP and asked them what clutch they do for a Starlet they told me the MR2 one linked above...surely if they did make slightly altered ones just for a Starlet they would've told me...hence why I'm wary of Speedvision's clutches...
  17. Welcome to the Layer Cake son!
  18. Cheers Yeah, you should start selling these! Very good clutches for the money ! I know you need margins for profit, which is ofcourse fair, just don't do what speedvision does and add another £80+ ontop of the price direct from CAP...its madness! lol
  19. It was about a week..but they emailed and apologised because it was a national holiday and said sorry it was taking awhile to dispatch...but a week isn't that bad at all anyway!
  20. yeah sorry lol. The starlet clutch is actually an MR2 clutch. I personally e-mailed CAP and asked what clutch fits a starlet, and it is this one: http://capclutch.com/mr24cyl16l86.html It was a perfect fit and is rated for 265lb/ft torque.
  21. Hey mate, I have a CAP paddle clutch which I bought because my old clutch was slipping. Went up to see the mechanic when he had the old one out, and the clutch plate itself was in great condition! But he showed me how the cover plate was badly worn and the flywheel had tonnes of high spots, so he said the slipping I was feeling wasn't the clutch plate but rather the worn pressure and flywheel plate which was allowing the clutch to spin freely without being held. When I got home I checked receipts that I got with the car, and the previous owner had bought a new clutch plate but hadn't replace
  22. Phew, thats fair enough then! Out of curiousity, how much is he paying ??
