I went 5w40 with my forged engine was recommended by TD and blueprint filter

I would say it's the rings , try put some oil down the cylinder walls and see if the compression rate rises abit. If it does then it's the piston rings need replacing. Also check if u have blue smoke coming out exhaust is another good indicator to rings. get a friend to look . Could also be HG has split between 2 and 3 although i'm not 100% sure on how you would check that.

I would say oil pressure mate mine did it after i put a new engine in and turns out the Wire to switch was old and corroding

Yeah , i'm thinking the problem could be that the space plate between gearbox/engine is bent and maybe thats why its made starter motor not line up right hense the crunching when statrtimg car up

Keep getting fault code 12 on my glanza Dropped a new engine in recentley and put new dizzy cap/rotor arm//leads Not sure whatelse it could be If anyone has had same problem do let me know on any fixes Thanks Adam

Hi all Recentley i bought a forged motor out of a starlet gt and put it in my glanza , i'm using glanza gearbox and starter motor. Basically when i start the car it makes horrible crunch/whine , If i loosen the starter motor off a little it starts fine, anyone else had the same issue ? Do they run a different starter motor? Not sure how to solve the problem Many thanks Adam

Just put a ep82 in my glanza and all fits/works just the two sensors under dizzy cap need swapping to fit your plugs on ep91 loom

Hi all! Need some 2nd opinions I was driving home when i gave the car a boot in 3rd , as i climbed revs i noticed a sudden small power loss. So i returned to eco driving as you do then noticed as i dip the clutch the revs shoot down ( car tries to stall) but was fine under load I was then followed by a knocking noise coming from engine (quite loud) It sounds like a rod down below to be honest but my knowledge is only basic. The symptoms from crawling home ( about a mile) was a loud knock and revs dropping when changing gear. Oil light flickered a few times. Whats everyones opinion? Many thanks Adam
