Has anyone set the before and after injector size and lag times on an ultimate for these injectors? I still need to map but i started by setting the cc and lag times. I found that before 295cc - .92 lag and after 550cc - 1.10 lag time worked great and idled fine. turned off the ignition and after a couple of hours went to continue with my mapping. It couldnt start at all till i had to set them to 0 again to start what could had caused this?

Bigger injectors tick alot. Its normal. Even its normal to idle strangely since theres no mapping. What afrs reading on idle?
-
Try the idle screw.. tighten a bit.

Sorry my mistake then..

Ok thanks very much .. thats what i was guessing aswell..
-
So if i want to make 2 different maps .. so to say one for road use and one for racing use, What should i do?

Can anyone tell me some detailed information on what these switchea are and how to use them. I know they are for switching maps sort of.. but need more info. Thanks

Thanks for the info

Yes there are earths on the loom. The ones beside the icv!
-
Check the map sensor, try replacing.. then check if the wiring to the sensor is ok. If you have an fcd connected might be a loose contact in its green wire. Check the earths beside the icv aswell..
-
Or maybe the eart wires beside the icv...
-
I know it wont start without it & they are nessecery... just wondering what are they connected too.. thanks guys

Can anyone tell me what are the earths on the side of the manifold for?
-
Weird... normally its the opposite.. check small issues like.. good spark plugs .. injectors and coil and spark amplifier.... see everything is ok
-
Try to log a run to see what the mapsensor is reading

The lid was closed... but there maybe chances of water still entering the plug. But thats why i disconected the batt and left it 2 days to dry out.
-
There are so many factors.. you cant just say that fcd blow engines..there are so many people using them with no trouble
-
Decided to powerwash the enginebay... disconected the battery and then washed it. After washing i left it 2 days in the garage to dry off before connecting battery again.
Tried to start the car now and fuel pump is not working once i crank the engine. Tried to short b+ & Fr just to check if fuel pump is working and it was ok.
Checked all fuses and they are all ok too.. what should i check next?

Cheers bud

Off course it will NOT blow up the engine! Its not the best way but with the right tuning its fine. I ran one for 5 years and never blew up any engine .If you want to remove it just solder the green wire (attached with the white and yellow) again.

Try to hook a fuel pressure gauge. At least a cheap one just to see if it hold the pressure or no..
