  1. im guessing keyring.
  2. when was the 98 facelift done? that one could have been one of the last pre-facelift ones and therefore still have been made in 98. although im just guessing as i have no idea when the facelifts were done.
  3. cheers mate. im dying for 15s but i dont know if i could bring myself to sell the works. car passed its mot yesterday . tracking needs done soon though, advisories on the front tyres as the inside edge is worn. Another thing, i bought brake discs from camskill, for glanza 96+ but it was the wrong fitment for mine, the discs are held on by a bolt in the centre of the disc at the end of the driveshaft (on mine). i phoned camskill and it seems like thats a rarity for starlets? anyone else know anything about this?
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mgWO1O91Ao poor bam
  5. it was prob gonna get scrapped anyway, so why not have fun before you do? thats not anymore of a 'shame' than one being stripped, crushed etc at a scrappies, its just what happens at the end of a cars life.
  6. i thought it was dull as shit. although as luke said, there is a few funny bits in it.
  7. they're available in 15 right there in your link, only in 18 is for the wheel and tyre package. can get the 15s with no tyres
  8. mainly vauxhalls, also a few bmws - 3series to Xseries, and a ford or two as well. all pretty obvious, mainly due to the uniformed officers that drive them here, or the lights in the grilles
  9. When are folk heading along on sunday then? i think im leaving cupar around 9.30 ish. according to the crail fb page, club stands are first come first served, so if theres alot of us early could see about getting a stand?
  10. i dont even know where id get replacement caps from haha. work valves are £11 on rhdjapan but theres no caps. the centre caps for my wheels are £23 each though! fuck that.
  11. i really hope mine never get stolen...genuine work ones cant be cheap
  12. anyone had any experience with the camskill oem discs? they worth getting for standard road use? http://camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m19b0s1298p4281 these ones.
  13. I'd say the starlet, although i'm the kind of person that'd hate to be in debt. bear in mind, as soon as you drive the clio out of the forecourt its lost thousands straight away, but you'll be paying more die to the finance. id say go for the starlet, then you have plenty of cash to get a good one, insure and run it. possibly even mod it if you wanted to.
  14. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WELL-FUNNY-Joke-Tax-...=item3cb7f39c35 i want to get one of these.
  15. ill just run across the road to my neighbour who's a snap on dealer and nick his stock ta, saves plenty cash haha
  16. just stop spending money on it? the most ive spent on mine is on an exhaust and dump valve, yea id like to do alot more to it, but the car runs fine etc so modding it isnt a priority, id rather have spending cash and my car, rather than modding the shit out of it and being skint, i still enjoy driving it every single day so thats the main thing to me. but thats my opinion lol. (ps. if you do get rid and break, dibs on the splitters ;))
  17. how will owning that save money though? if it needs tidied up, that'll cost money, plus the extra insurance, tax and fuel costs. doesnt seem logical if its a money thing. i get that the starlet needs a whack thrown at it now, but in the long run it should still be less than the civic?
  18. Right, getting a few things sorted for mot and just to tidy it up a bit. first up, Brakes - need new discs and pads, but not sure what to go for, will just be purely for road, but still not sure what to go for, either grooved etc or just oem replacements. was thinking this combo - EBC discs and EBC Pads (can also get camskills own instead for nearly £50 less) or, grooved and dimpled discs but not sure what pads, any thoughts? also, my clock keeps going out, i know its just a loose connection but is that a dash out job? or can i just pop out the clock? and....finally, bulbs for the dash (speedo, rev, temp gauge etc) the temp gauge light has gone out and a speedo one keeps going out too, so where can i get new bulbs? ive heard of led replacement kits, but where can i get these?
  19. id be up for it also, dundees only 15-20 min away. would be good to meet some more starlet owners
  20. Was that bought from scotland? look at these, same one by the looks of things - i took that in 2007 at crail.
  21. would make a pretty cool coffee table or something if you put some glass over the top.
  22. Its looking great, its just confirming i need the oem lip kit on mine too haha, could do with a respray too haha, well the skirts and front end at least.
  23. ill be at banzai on the sunday, not too fussed for the track day on sat, esp as the airfield is a shit surface for racing on.
  24. looks niiiice, would be nice having something like that esp during summer. what are the wheels then? they look like ultralites (i think)
