  1. Its a japanese VIN so wont be on any form of UK database Issue is its an old 80s VIN number so it isnt as organised as the late 80s/90s VIN numbers. Decoders dont understand them and they are also too short for decoders to recognise them. Also main problem is I need written proof of the date/year from a manufacture or a car club.

  4. Right guys. I have been offered a KP61 TRD style spoiler at a good price. Waiting on measurements but if its near enough I am going to see if it will be a close/good fit. Should look really good on the car.
  5. manufactures have done some right dodgy stuff. always remember my dad telling me some of the things vauxhall/GM have done. Nissan japan have been contact so I hope they will reply with the details. All I will need to do then is get the car through an MOT and register it. Another problem which may be BIG is all the paperwork isnt in my name. So may need to contact the previous owner and get him to write a letter saying all the paperwork now belongs to me.

  7. Nissan UK have finally got the ball rolling. After pestering and pestering they coughed up the email for nissan japan.
  8. both told me that my car would have came with tha correct documents and now they just ignore me.
  9. got all the paperwork to register it except and official date of manufacture and it needs an mot. Can't mot until I get a date and the mot document doesn't count as the date. So yeah I'm screwed. If I can't get the date there is no way I can register this car. Then it would have to be a reshell which would be annoying as I want it to be a march shell still Lost the guys number mate but I keel on messaging on the kei car forum. Havnt got a reply yet.
  10. Also looks like I wont be able to register the car as nissan are not playing ball. So issue is the car will then be under a UK vin plate and vin number. I know its only a shell but its a rare car so I dont want anyone trying to claim its a replica or something
  11. Reaching a problem with this car. RUST! I mean loads! I love this car and its not going. Two things I hate about this car. the rust, I mean the shell is shagged. whole floor pan is gone, rear tubs are gone, sills are badly repair. Also the fact this car has a bloody sunroof. On K10s they are nothing but problems. They leak, cause sill rust, let wind noise in etc etc. Starting to think it may be a good idea to reshell it with a non sunroof shell. Seems the wisest idea? Opinions?
  12. Done nothing to the car. I am waiting to find a garage/unit I can build the car in. I need a space of my own to do the engine conversion in. Also bought another 1.3 4WD gearbox and transfer box as spares because I am pretty sure at some point I will find the breaking point.
  13. The pulsar calipers came yesterday. I forgot how big they are. Can remember why they just fit under 14" wheels. Not much progress at the moment its getting cold and weather has been crap. I am waiting for a cheap unit to come up.
  14. Had the car a month now and still cracking on. Found even more rust. Pessanger floorpan is naffed. close to welding in a whole new passenger floor pan. Got a few parts coming. March electric mirrors, new cluster, rear number plate lights, bosch 044 pump, sun roof seal and a few other little bits. Also went to the scrap yard this weekend to get some replacement rear strut mounts. Also should be sorcing a replacement mid spoiler, wind deflectors, side repeaters and window winders.   15. luckily i can get all the spares panels except for the rear strut mounts which i am able to repair.
  16. There is alot of rust on this car. rear top mounts are shot, lots of little holes everywhere, rear arches, needs alot of work. Looks like I got alot of welding to do.
  17. More I work on it the more I realise how unloved and tatty this car was. fuel tanks coming out tomorrow. whole interior strip. So i can then weld up any holes and law some nice new sound deadening down. Rear strut mounts are getting quite rotten so they need attention.

  19. had a look at the turbo. Its a garret. looks like a gt15 ar43. apparently good for 200bhp those turbos. according to garret.
  20. I was going to but tonight I went through the parts and the old orignal turbo is naffed. turbine has been munched and theres over 10mm of play! So the bigger turbo is saying now. just going to get the car mapped for the that turbo. car has had new sills, holes patched up and few other little things. rear arches look good although they are badly rolled. also need to finish off welding the sill as its only spot welded.

  23. Bought it from a guy in England who never got it registered. The car is from bulgaria. was in bulgaria since 1992! Need to register it all myself which is quite a hard task.
