Know the guy who built it. Its got a ca18det and running over 400bhp now. One issues with converting a car to a pickup is you can never use it as a pickup because with all the new laws which came in a few years ago you need to put the car through loads of tests to see what the safe working load of the car is which costs alot of money to do so. A way around this is to just spaceframe the whole rear end so you cant store anything in back. You then just need an engineers report to make sure the car is still safe. Near enough done!! Been using 3M tape to put back on the arches and panels. Best thing I can think of using. I was tempted to dab some tiger seal in some places as well but that is probably over kill.

That is true!! When I am sending my log book off to change to colour i am changing it to a starlet gt turbo and a 3 door. Its 5 door on the log book haha.

The main issue in my eyes are there are too many 17-19 year olds buying them, realizing they will struggle to insure as a turbo so they insure them as an NA starlet. Just imagine how many fines/court hearings or bans there would be if every single starlet owner had their insurance checked.

Im not even going to try getting my cash back to be honest. Hes no better off, hes £10 down as i never refunded postage and he posted it back to me. I am just going to repair it and sell cheap. I know it was my hot pipe as it had the bottom cut off the end of it, also he sent me a photo of it before he sent it out and it was undamaged. I got it and the flange was all bent up! This guy is still out and scamming! Sold a hot pipe to him. First claimed it didn't fit his car when it fitted my car and the guy I bought it off. Secondly it's an id workz unit so it should fit his car anyways. He sent the item back to me so I can give him a refund. Packaging was very poor just a few bin bags. During transit the item has been damaged and is now fucked. He is refusing all responsibility and just being a general arsehole about the hole situation. You can't expect someone to give a refund on an item which is damaged! I have already given him a refund because he was failing

Gutted I am missing JAE, would have loved to go and see alot of you! All body parts except my front bumper has been painted now and drying. will put everything back together over the next few days. Hoping the paint the inside of the car white tomorrow.

Got the shell painted today! Love the colour so much.

Got the week off so its the respray week! Outside java green and inside is going white! Spent today stripped every last panel off the car to paint the shell. I am trying to do the best job I can. I think I am doing well. Got the car in an ebay gazebo at an attempt to prevent bugs, dust etc getting in the paint. I know its not ideal and the respray wont be no way near as good as normal paint but its cheap and easy to repair.

Right then. Plan to use 225/45/16 tyres on front of my starlet with 16x8 35 et wheels. Anybody been lucky enough to get both side by side? Are the idworkz wings a direct copy of the livesport wings just without the top vent? Which one is wider? All questions I have been wondering to make sure I can get my wheels/tyres work right. Idworkz claim their wings are 20mm wider and according to a few websites the livesport wings are 25mm wider. I am very confident with either of these wings I can run the set up I want. Anybody got some words of wisdom or answers for me?

Brothers got two of those seats in his RX7 and I fitted some large ones in my mates Avanzato. Very good seats and very comfy. The best seats for the money by far.

If I am correct in thinking 4 way airbags means that when you go around a corner the air doesnt move around to the other airbag which hinders handling? I remember someone saying something about body roll and air bags. I am only going by what I have been told but I may be sounded like a complete idiot. Either that or is 4 way controls all four wheels and 2 way only does front and back?

Nothing wrong with that . Thats mint mate. Matt humphries oxford used 3mm spacers on their calipers to space them out and they build professional rally cars. Although I do know someone who could make me a whole new carrier.

I bought it off of a guy called finbar on facebook mate. Right then aim to get the car on the road between October and November. running at atleast 200bhp. This car has been a right money pit! Bought even more stuff in japan! Got a huge list of stuff to import now. Got skyline R32 gtst brakes which has an adapter bracket to fit starlet hubs. disc is 180mm. Heard some civic guys just manage to fit 15s but most run 16s. If my 15s do not fit over them then the plan is to find 2 more 16" oz wheels. Run 205/45/16 on the front and 195/50/15 on the rear.

Cheers mate it's a JPS steering wheel lotus used the same design wheels on their F1 cars. Yeah mate I got a front mount for it. Also got ecu, bigger injectors, Wideband and exhaust temp gauge. I do need a better fuel pump though.
