  1. Nice! Sounds like the engine would like to rev a lot more then it does
  2. Hi, I did find out that my Starlet EP91 is leaking oil from the front main seal. I do have to change the timing belt soon anyway, so i better change the seal at once. What i'm wondering though is if i could replace the main seal without removing the oil pump housing, Or is it advisable the replace the oil pump seal at the same time? Don't think it's leaking from there though. Any special tools needed for the seal removal? Usually they pry it out with a screwdriver, i think the 4EFE will be no different? Thanks
  3. Don't know for sure but I think the MX-5 has a knock sensor. Our 4efe don't have one. Would be interesting though to advance timing together with a corolla mani and use 98 ron fuel ;-)
  4. Advancing timing will gain HP, retarding will increase torque. Some say that a bit extra advancing will be better for the compete rev range, but I can't confirm this. With my Celica I felt no difference with advancing timing. When you advance too much you have the risk of detonating, so better fuel is advised

  6. A few weeks ago i've opened my Glanza S ECU and wrote down all the pinouts labels. Hope i can help some people with this. note: plug A, nr. 13 has ODT/THAD on the board and Plug B nr. 14 has IMV/EOV on the board. I only wrote down the first three letters in the pinout overview
  7. The 4age distributors tend to leak from the inside. This is a how to for the 4age distributor. I have no idea if the 4efe distributor is the same though: http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=8286
  8. Will that corolla (e10 exhaust mani I guess) fit right away or should it be welded on the exhaust?
  9. What exhaust manifold did you use? Do you notice a lot of difference with the corolla intake?
  10. Think that with the filter you loose power due to sucking in warm air
  11. Hope this nice ep82 won't be broken. Too bad I don't have the money at the moment :-( Hope this nice ep82 won't be broken. Too bad I don't have the money at the moment :-(
  12. Maybe that on the turbo it is silent, a turbo is a noise killer! Nice cars you had!
  13. Don't know if it also counts for the 4efte but with a lot of 4age engine the distributors leak from the inside, but they can be rebuilt
  14. Is that mani a direct fit? And which mani did you use? Thanks!
  15. I have the same ecu for sale together with the Glanza s injectors. No dizzy though. If you're interested please send me a pm
  16. Thought the ep91 crank isn't as strong as the early 4efe. I believe the early 4efe crank is the same as the 4efte.
  17. Okay thanks! I bought a second hand caliper today and might rebuild the old one when I have more time :-)
  18. Don't forget to buy at least 1 stay for it! And you have to put the earth cable somewhere else and be a little bit inventive with the throttle cable.
