ttestarlet - Bit of a long Story, but in short. Aussie living in Japan, working in the car industry. I've had Starlets in Australia previously and a colleague and I got bored of just attending events or working every weekend so we agreed to pick up a cheap race car. (He has DC2 Integra Type R) I had been keeping an eye out for a few different models, but when the Starlet popped up it was an easy decision. And very happy with it! MustakimQZ - Standard gearbox with TRD LSD. Unsure of clutch and flywheel as they haven't been changed since I bought it. I only intend to have around 200HP so no

Sent you a PM Starletezy.

I think the wing is effective. Also it should help more once I have more power and the front aero is balanced out.

I'm still not 100% sure what the new wheels are, but they were the right size and only weigh slightly more than the SSR's despite the extra width.

Braided brake lines sold. -
Since the last update I added more camber to the front of the car (at the recommendation of NA racers in Japan) and also a Cusco lower arm brace. The initial turn in improved noticeably. A new best of 1:06.609. The car is still registered but looks a little out of place anywhere other than the track. More weight saving. Covered up with trim to make it look a bit neater. 15 x 7.5 +30 wheels. 225/50/15 A050 tyres will be fitted to these.

Has anybody been able to donate an EP82 for Mark to play around with as yet? -
Hi guys, This has probably been debated for quite some time, but of the race guys who has used an upgraded front swaybar. Does it improve the cars handling/reduce track times or as some people suggest, simply create a more understeer setup. Any feedback greatly appreciated.

DIY: Shifter bushes replace with bearings?
EP82 Touge replied to EP82 Touge's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Yeah a few guys stock them, but postage makes a simple item like that a bit of a waste. I should be able to find something local hopefully. Cheers -
Hi guys, Is there a DIY article on this anywhere or the part numbers to buy? Cheers

Mark is saying still no EP82 as yet? Does anybody in the area have one he can borrow? -

Is there anything available in the way of aftermarket or upgraded steering rack bushes? If so has anybody tried them? The Starlet doesn't have the most direct steering so figured bushes would be the first place to start. Cheers

I think the wing is effective, in that it works. I really didn't expect any reduction in time until I get the front aero sorted to balance it out. I did my quickest last sector, which makes sense with the wing helping around the last corner of Tsukuba. The car felt more stable under brakes and around the higher speed corners. I did loose a little top speed down the track and noticed more understeer, but this could be a combination of pushing a little harder, tyres getting old/worn and also the track conditions on the day.

Depends on what you are wanting to do with the car, but be sure to check the dampening adjustability and spring rates as they can to too hard/firm. Design and build quality seems good.
