Beans kp60 3 door running a 5k on bike carbs
Bean replied to Bean's topic in KP40 & KP60 Progress Blogs
haha yeah that was a strange one. i dont think they were there that long or they would have rusted. im glad i got them out though. Apart from my kp i have only ever seen 2 others. simons yellow one and another one that i went to view before i bought this one, but the bodywork had been messed about with that much it didnt look like a kp any more unfortunately. -
I think Its better if any jap car can come. The meet at tuning developments was good but I'm sure more could have made it. Gt's were a bit thin on the ground.

Cheers Sacha yeah there a rare car these days. If you want one better get one snapped up and get the welder out. Is there many about in Sri Lanka? It took alot of searching to find that dizzy cap. Back in the day they were quite popular I believe. -

Head update! Today my kent valve springs arrived. as it turns out my car didnt have them when i thought it did which is strange when it already had a t125 cam in it??? So i dropped the springs off with my mate and he put them in for me. The heads had a bit of work heres some pics. http://s20.photobucket.com/user/westcoastbean/media/KP/20130508_202448_zps6c0a392a.jpg.html'> exhaust ports you can almost see your reflection in them http://s20.photobucket.com/user/westcoastbean/media/KP/20130508_202258_zps56beaa8a.jpg.html'> http://s20.photobucket.com/user/westcoastbean/media/KP/2013050 -

thanks guys it sure is a cool old beast. Im hoping i will get the head back tonight, cant wait to see it! next im wanting the flywheel lightened so i need to decide what weight i want it to be. i know a guy with a lathe who could remove the material from it then im hoping the machine place down the road would balance it for me with the crank and the pulley on. its built for some revs this thing! Its going to be an expensive little engine by the time its back together. i got a brand new genuine full engine gasket kit from Toyota for it the other week. so apart from some head bolts i think ive -

Well it looked like the valve springs turned out to be stock ones not the kent ones i thought they were. so i got a set ordered. the head work is finished now and it just needs these new valves put back in. Kent goodies! http://s20.photobucket.com/user/westcoastbean/media/KP/20130508_104900_zps67afa411.jpg.html'> -

Yours will go well as it is I bet. Keep the car so you can use it every day. When you end up changing everything on them theres always something you need to keep an eye on. I just want to get my kp back on the road but I doubt it will be this year for it. -

Grant yours will sound like a plane taking off i reckon! plans for the car... probably leave it in the garage till next year lol. its going back to jdm for a few tweaks to the idle and cold start ect on monday maybe a bit more mapping see what happens. there is still a bit more power left to come out of it, not much but a -

My Forged 5e 4wd Ep85 - anyone after an ep85??
Bean replied to Bean's topic in EP85/EP95 4WD Progress Blogs
Well, had the car down at tuning developments for a dyno run after it missing the meet last sunday. it was a bit of a last minute decision but they managed to squeeze me in at short notice. The car made 302.9bhp ATF 227.1 atw. It was the first time the car had been on a 4wd dyno. the boost seemed to be a bit all over the place but i think the gain was just a bit too high on the ebc. Im happy enough with the result and the car made the trip there and back without any problems which is always good. This is the furthest the car has been in a good few years, and its used over a tank of fuel toda -
