i had thought about that but wasn't sure about the weather. I think there was a rolling road day at tdi north years ago and we had a bbq it was quality! good shout Mike! if i can scrape a few quid together maybe i could bring the ep85 down for a run.

when i sent my vf35 off to turbo dynamics for a rebuild i had previously had the penny welded shut on the wastegate. they said when they tested it that it had warped a little and wasnt a perfect seal. they machined it and welded it up properly. whether they said all this to get more cash out of me i dont know. but worth checking i guess.

i think a dyno run without afr is a waste of time tbh. the graph is a bit up and down was it spinning on the dyno?

If your not having much luck with it you could maybe sell some parts and replace with stock ones and then you could take a bit less for the car.

What gasket you going for? I can recommend an Athena, they have all the waterways cut out of them.

i think if your going to the hassle of a new ecu best to use new sensor instead of the old stock ones. my trigger wheel is mounted onto one of the light weight alloy ones on the outside. the pulley was drilled and tapped on a milling machine to get it aligned spot on then a boss is bolted onto the pulley then that is drilled and tapped again for the trigger wheel. then its all fitted nice. this needs to be done right no botches as if your trigger wheel is off slightly, or your crank sensor falls off or moves. you wont be going far lol.

finding a manual gear box to convert it is going to be almost impossible!

Birmingham sounds a good location to me. I would like to get to this as I missed it last year.
