  1. Good stuff, any tips for welding the v band flanges. Mine leaks a bit on the civic I think I must have warped it slightly. Did you weld it on the inside too and leave it all assembled while welding it?
  2. The money shot! Nice clean engine mount too!
  3. a guy i know has been in touch with me that hes organised a meet at carlisle in the lower viaduct car park and starts at 7:30 i think there was one or 2 members from carlisle on here so i thought i would post it up for them. i will be there in my blue eg civic. i think so far theres about 100 cars or so attending.
  4. Proper job! I got one off ebay and got a local guy to weld it on and it was a shit job tbh. I dont know if It was due to crappy alloy or him not having the tig set right. I had the dremmel the fitting to get the bov to sit flush in it. Im thinking of cutting it out and re doing it some time.

  12. yeah i will get a foot pedal for mine eventually if i do some aluminium work. from what ive read its a good thing to have with the aluminium taking up so much of the heat. what rods are you using 5556? where do you get your bits of sheet and pipes from? The cars really coming on now!
  13. i bet that curved edge was a tricky weld mate!
  14. when i first put my 5e engine in, the car had no mot so pretty much one of its first journeys was to the garage for its mot. he wasnt bothered about the emissions but when tested the cars emissions were as clean as cars that have a cat in.
  15. wms are spot on. ive got a set on mine. the 6 pots arent needed.
  16. im sure ted or wee john had it on one of theirs. as there was that video of him swearing when he forgot to turn it on before the drag run lol. i wouldnt worry about the running gear.
  17. ive had a couple of zisco kits and a couple of wepr kits and i think the wepr stuff that ive had atleast, is alot better than the zisco ones. the welds are ALOT neater on the wepr ones. im not saying im an expert on welding but just from looking inside the manifold i had a zisco one with a fair lump of weld very near to the flange which really didnt look good, also the welds on the runners looks alot better on my wepr kit. also the collector looks excellent on my current wepr manifold. a big thing with the manifolds is also the price. you could make the best manifolds in the world for a st
