  1. Why does everyone have aftermarket air filters sideways ? The original air intake on glanza is almost like a ram air intake ( a good thing ) I think a slight modified version of the stock intake would he better than aftermarket examples. Short ram style buy with filter material somewhere and get rid of box. Move everything over to left hand side ?
  2. In terms of boost control could you not just plug a relief onto the same pipe as BOV? If your venting to atmosphere is it not the same thing
  3. Thinking about designing external waste gate / relief valve for my glanza. Do you block off internal waste gate ? Also where abouts is best place to fit wastegate?

  9. ahhh okay makes sense shaun. When you say you can only run above 0.8 with a 0.8 waste gate, does that mean your turbo puts out whatever pressure it wants (let's say 2 bar ) but is limited by the wastegate opening and venting additional pressure( like pressure relief valve ) or is the boost controlled by some other means else where. For example why have a boost controller set to 1.5bar if I can just get external waste gate with 1.5 bar spring? Hard to explain what I'm trying to say. Hope yout under stand my rubish terminology
  10. Okay ladz you've convinced me haha. Also quick question . I see you can buy waste gates set at 0.1 up to like 2 bar or sumin. .. I take it if you have actuator you want to set it more than waste gate or it would never open ? Why have both? I'm newish to turbos so sorry for noon questions. what is the purpose of the actuator and the waste gate in relation to each other ?
  11. Gents, I see there is a lot of people removing the air con when putting in FMIC. Is this totally necessary? I live in Scotland and it pretty cold here. Also what are the pros of front mount? Looks like it frees up the bay a bit however in terms of performance would a top mount upgrade not be just as good ?

  14. Only place near me is Wallace performance and they said I need the right harness ... don't think they can wire them in. How easy is it to find standalone auto glanza plug and play ecus
  15. Is the wiring harness the same for auto and manual? Wanting to Get EMB or EMU but need to know about wether harness is same for both manual and auto glanza
  16. Can buy them on ebay haha mini superchargers that run off battery. They did a test on mighty car mods and a leaf blower attached to induction gave you more power

  18. Those cars will have been designed without the need for intercooler. A stock starlet with will Def heat up more if you slap a turbo on it ( hence why glanza has intercooler standard) and even that gets pretty hot hence why most people change it out. no offence but this project seems to be more of a gamble every day. your plan is to get boost out a DIY supercharger so why go assumptions like " it will probably only make little if any boost so won't need a,b,c & d. Not hating Bro just think if your going to do something do it right the first time
