  1. love the colour, similar to what I'm doing mine in. are you leaving the standard bumpers or going glanza?
  2. Ouch, not good man. Just as you were starting to get it all sorted.
  3. Looks mint mate, massive change from when you first got it bet you're happy with it now.
  4. Ordered a new set of wheels for it today, the wheel shop had a 25% off sale so got them at a decent price. Got a set of Avid AV08's 15x6.5 +35 and also ordered a set of Federal RSR 595 Semi Slicks. Finally picked up the rest of the body kit Still a little while away from paint yet, it's in storage at my old man's house which is 2 hours away. Hopefully Ill be moving closer in the next 2 weeks so I can get stuck into it.
  5. My Paseo dash and mirrors turned up, looks like the mirrors will be a massive pain to fit and to get the indicator looking neat. Ill see how I go I might get some mirrors off something else and mod them to fit. Progress has slowed down a little at the moment as I'm moving in a few weeks, can't wait to get back at it though and get some new pics up of the progress.

Hey have you ever been bush walking? Have you tripped on a log? How about a root?
  7. Can't wait to get it done so trying to spend as much time as possible on it. I've sourced a Paseo tacho dash and power mirrors that will hopefully fit, if not i'll make them haha. Also found a Glanza rear bar and side skirts, just waiting on some more cash so I can pick them up. I bought myself a new mig welder the other day, going to weld up the indicators and aerial holes. Going to put the indicators in the mirrors, have purchased some clear lenses from a golf so hopefully they will go in with a little modification.
  8. I have done a little bit of work to the starlet lately. Pretty much all stripped out and started to repair some of the dents. Just have to strip the engine bay now and then it won't be long for some paint.
  9. This will come up nice and neat once you get rid of all the shit on it.
  10. Ended up getting the windows out today pretty easily. I just used a heat gun to heat up the window and sikaflex. I then used a stanley knife to go all around the inside. The first one took me about 20 mins and the second about 10 once I knew what I was doing. It is fairly simple and doing it this way doesn't damage the window trim.
  11. Already have coilovers and car is stripped ready for body work so that is also possible!
  12. I have been thinking about some new wheels to replace my 17x7's and quite like these but not sure if they'll fit without too many mods. What do you think? http://marsperformance.com.au/Klutch-Wheels/KM16 Can anyone photoshop a set on a glanza?
  13. Are the Evo seats have the option to fold forward like the original seats? I also need it to sit fairly low as im 6ft1
  14. As the title says what's the best seats for the Starlet? Whether they are factory seats or aftermarket what fits the best and what is the easiest conversion. They have to be reclining like the factory ones to pass registration and more of a bucket seat. I have a nice set of retrimmed factory ones but was thinking WRX or R32 GTR seats.
  15. Thanks for the comments guys! Thinking I should get some 15 inch wheels so I can run semi slicks for some more fun . The 17's scrub on full lock with the standard suspension so I don't think they will be any good.
  16. Here's how it looks now all together. Once the panel damage is repaired i'll paint it, just need to think of a colour. Thinking possibly this colour from the Nissan Qashqai.
  17. I might give it a go on my donor car first if its too hard ill leave them lol.
  18. I started stripping the silver one yesterday and putting all the goodies on the blue one, stripped all the damaged bits off the blue one and gave the interior a quick clean. I think someone had spilt a pack of cereal and jelly beans in there at some stage. These are the seats in the silver one, they should come up nice with a clean. Pushed this dent out Its a little better but it's going to take some work to get it straight.
  19. Yeah will basically be a reshell of the silver one with a few extras and then more mods once it's on the road. The silver one already has disk brakes on the rear so a huge bonus there, also has aftermarket stabilizer bars and whiteline strut bars in the front and rear. Heres a pic of the damage done to the silver one and the blue
  20. Hi guys im after some info on how to remove the side rear quarter windows on my EP91 as ill be respraying it. Do you just use some heat and slide some fishing wire through and work your way around or is there a trick to getting them off? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  21. Got both of the starlets to my house yesterday from my dads after doing two four and a half hour round trips. Washed them both and got the turbo one in the garage. After looking at the damage a bit more it may not be worth fixing and I might completely strip it and build the blue one up. The blue one only has a damaged guard and door which I can swap out from the silver one. The blue one has done less kilometres and wouldn't need much at all to get it on the road but would definitely change the colour and give it a full respray.
  22. We do know how to build a car here The 17's look pretty good on it actually, I definitely wouldn't go any bigger though. I scored a full set of wheels for $100, only needed the one to replace the stuffed one but couldn't go wrong for that money. Just have to paint them though, he painted them purple with a brush...
  23. This is the way we have to do them to make it legal to have a BOV! Most people don't worry but this has been engineered and is legal apparently. Hopefully I won't have any trouble with the cops Thankyou. Great place here with plenty of projects and info.
  24. Hey guys here is a few pics of my new starlet I picked up from the salvage auctions, needs a few repairs.... I also got another starlet that I'm going to use for parts. Specs: 97 Starlet Life BC Racing V1 coilovers 17 inch Lenso Light S2 wheels Glanza S body conversion Glanza turbo motor conversion Full interior retrim Momo steering wheel Rear disk brake conversion
