  1. That verification code probs won't come through as another user has been waiting for 1 week now and not got anything and he got charged for it.
  2. Hello all Was logging onto my hotmail account this morning that i've been using for the past 12 years plus and is the main hotmail account i use. However i got a message stating that my account has been blocked and then a screen comes up asking me to input my mobile number so a verification code can be sent to my mobile that i need to input into on a hotmail page. I've been reading up on this and other users have been done this however they never received a verification code and also got charged for it too so something dodgy going on. There is another option in case you don't have a mobile
  3. hi mate i've seen both parents in the garden with their kids whilst i was inspected my car again with a friend. I didn't get any apology or anything like that what so ever even though the kids mum clearly saw them do it. Its going to need a dent pull out job and respray.
  4. I was going to do and that say that i'm just about to call the police and they'll talk to you. But then the parents would have come out and start fighting with me, i know their mum's husband has got a bit of a bad rep as he once went around to someone elses house with a baseball bat after their kids swore at each other.
  5. Surprising it seems to be my car thats always take the damage, its quite rare for anyone else's car getting damaged even though i'm at work for most of the week including Saturday's sometimes and other cars are left here all week without getting any damage. Just unlucky that i live next to some these neighbours that just keep on having kids. Just no respect, sometimes i feel they do it on purpose just do it on purpose.
  6. She'll probs just say my kids didn't do it and have you got it on camera? They own a sh##ty £200 Astra so its most likely a piece of junk anyway.
  7. Hello all Just heard my alarm beeping so quickly raced outside and saw like around 4 kids from next door 2 of them on bikes looking at it whilst alarm was beeping. Upon inspecting i've found the passenger wing damaged again as its been dented with deep black marks and there is also a couple of other spots where the paint has been taken off. I know one of those kids have done it as i went out they just start moving away whilst their mum was looking at it from the upstairs window telling them to go to the back garden so she has clearly seen them do it. This is the second time it has been done
  8. I've been reading up a bit more on this and have seen that WD40 can be used, any experience or views on this as i have some in the car.
  9. Hello all I recently had the car serviced and then washed yesterday evening, upon washing it i've found quite a few oily marks on the bonnet and wings (most likely caused when the service was carried out) Washing the car won't remove these as oil and water don't mix well. I have the following cleaning products that i can try on the car along with a soft clean cloth:- Auto Glym Super Resin Polish Auto Glym Ultra Deep Shine Meguiars Ultimate Compound Can any of the above remove the oily marks on the white paintwork (which makes them stand out quite a bit) Many thanks
  10. I know some members are saying it is ok, but there are others that are saying that it could cause problems. Just need to know for defo as if its a bad thing then i'm tempted to call the AA so they can drain some how, i think they may have a device that goes down the dipstick hole and sucks some out. Thanks
  11. * UPDATE * I took mine back to the place i had its serviced and because the engine was warm the oil level seemed fine, but i had checked it before then it was still 4mm over the max mark. They put it up on the ramp and removed around 400ml and they said it should be fine. However i've just inspected again this morning and it is still around 2.5mm above the max level. I thought that would have sorted it. Can the AA come out and do this for me as i have to leave work early to get the garage and have to make back the time at work, whereas if i call the AA i can just pop out to the car and oil
  12. hi mate i haven't got the tools to do plus i'll have to get the car on a ramp or something Is this something the AA can do for me as i've heard excessive oil could cause engine seal problems. Thanks
  13. Hello all I had my car serviced this morning and a full oil change and oil filter change was carried out. However the guy that did the oil change used around 500ml more than what should be used and at the time we looked at the dipstick and it was fine, probably as the engine was warm and new oil may have still been dripping down to the base. However i got into work and let the engine cool down for around 4 hours. I've just checked my oil level and it is around 4mm above the maximum mark. Is this ok or do I need to take some oil out, problem with taking oil out is that i can't do it till the
  14. hi mate what about the grounding, or is that done through the loom? Do you have a black wire going down to a earthing point? thanks
  15. Hello all Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. If i fit a UK head unit into the a japanese import car using the relevant ISO adapter, would the head unit need grounding. The existing jap head unit in the car seems to be grounded where there is a black wire going down, however if i just fit a new stereo would it still need grounding or do one of the wires in the loom (most likely black) provide sufficient grounding when it is connected? Just need to make sure as don't want anything blowing or carrying out irrelevant grounding work by having to cut wires. Many thanks
  16. hi mate but wont you need to push the plate out on all sides i.e. top bottom left and right? Thanks
  17. hi mate but i just had the car MOT 2 weeks ago and the wheel bearings were fine. I once did have a wheel bearing fail on a previous car but even when that was the case the car drove fine.
  18. hi mate But is it defo the dust shield as i've heard it could also be either the Wheel Bearings or Power Steering Fluid.
  19. UPDATE Right i've just got home and done the brake shield push back using a screwdriver, however it has made the problem a lot worse, i now get lots of metallic screeching noise when turing left and right, even if i turn very slightly i am getting some noise. It was quite embarrassing as it was very loud and at one point i was considering calling the AA. So overall what has been suggesting on here has made the problem worse Any other suggestions?
  20. hi mate When your state cover plate do you mean the brake shield or dust shield as i've done a bit more research and asking around and it seems this could be the likely problem. Thanks
  21. hi mate Sorry forgot to mention, that the brakes are fairly new on the car and they were fine when inspected at the MOT. Also the noise doesn't happen when i brake only when driving as normal. The wheel bearings were also inspected at the MOT and they are fine. Do you think this has something to do when i had the clutch changed as i said that they had to remove the wheels and also the steering arms (sorry if thats the wrong phrase) in order to get to the gearbox. Thanks hi mate if this is the problem, what is the solution i.e. how would i fix it? Thanks
  22. Hello all Around 1 month ago i had a new clutch fitted and since then i've been getting a metallic screeching noise from the front end of the car when i turn left. The more i lock the wheel the louder it gets and also gets even louder depending on how quick i take a left turn. I had the car put through the MOT recently and i mentioned this to the MOT inpector but all the steering was spot on as the MOT inspector checked it out and couldn't find anything. I've got a feeling it has something to do with the clutch as they had to take off both front wheels and release the relevant bars in orde
  23. I'll give this a try, the head unit won't be back for another couple of weeks so its a bit of a wait Will let you know how it goes thanks
  24. hi mate That is with the engine running Any idea what colour wires the front speakers use. I still think that won't solve the problem as the wiring is fine as it's all been checked. Thanks
  25. hi mate thanks for the reply the guy that tested for me said that as soon as the charger is on a battery it could like boost it up to 30 volts in a few seconds lol, sounds like a bit of cowboy statement I only have standard front speakers and some 6x9 in the back, they are all connected correctly and wiring test has been carried out which is fine, there are no shorts, the grounding is fine and no blown fuses. The head unit will go into protect mode almost exactly 20 minutes after i put it on, the first time the head unit failed and i had to send it back it was even worse as it would go into p
