hi mate I only got me house just under a year ago and its been let out for quite a bit of that time so don't go up there as often as i used to. I don't live in the Cramners but one of the roads near it, i only said Cramners as that it what people know it buy. I know alderton heights, i also viewed a house on alderton bank, but didn't have a garage. Yeah the Clio is the black one. I only know people at work who live in LS17. Thanks

hi mate im just on the other side to you (the Tynwalds and Deanswood), Was going to get a house on Nursery Lane i saw and also Fir Tree but one of them needed quite a bit of work and the other didn't have a driveway or garage. Are you looking to buy a Glanza, might be selling mine soon and its a rare fully standard model (its never been modified as the previous owner was a parent in Japan judging from the kids stickers left in the car) I'll let you know if come up there. hi mate I've also considered buying an Evo 4, but the insurance is extremely high, i've been quoted £3,200 - £4,400 to get insured on a standard Evo 4 and that is me being 30 years old, 9 years no claims and a clean license. Just really baffles me that i have pay 3 to 4 times more than similar people in my situation just because of my postcode :surrender:

Hi mate I would say that is worth £4200 - £4500 or if returning back to standard would get you £3500 - £3700.

Not at the current british £ to Japanese Yen currency rate as you only get 140 Yen to £1 and it was 230 Yen to £1 a few months ago.

** UPDATE ** Hello all I took the car back to the MOT station on Friday morning and i told the guy that i've done my research and asked MOT testers that siderepeaters are not required. He told me that had phoned VOSA/DVLA up and they said that i need to fit them However i was still not giving up and demanded to speak to VOSA/DVLA and he said ok and put me through to them. I then told him what you guys have been saying on here and he said i'll have a look into it again. He phoned back and told the MOT tester to do a test which consisted off standing 50cm away from the rear wheel in order to

She said that they are toughning up on cars coming into the UK from Japan but didn't say why. She seems to know her stuff as she knew the bhp on standard japanese import cars and wasn't confused when i gave her a list of modifications on a car i was interested in buying.

Hello all I was just speaking to my insurance company yesterday and asking her what my renewal price is going to be. I was surprised by the renewal as it has only gone down by £3 in comparison to last year. I asked her why such a small decrease and she said that is a good price as any companies who insure japanese imported cars are toughning up for next year with prices going through the roof. I asked her what kinda increase would this mean and she said you'll be paying double what you are now Has anybody else heard anything similar or know or any other news? Thanks

hi mate thanks for the info, but i don't think he'll take that evidence too seriously and still go ahead with it. I just need some hard evidence i can show him so he won't go ahead with fitting the side repeaters and drilling holes in the wing.

When you had your Glanza V put through the MOT, did the tester fail it because it hasn't got siderepeaters on it. Mine had its MOT a couple of days ago and i was told that i will need to fit them on or they will do it. However many of the Glanza's i've come across don't seem to have them and that is in different towns and cities. So what is the situation with the Glanza V as it doesn't come with side repeaters as standard, can it pass without them or are they required. I don't really want to have holes drilled into the side of the wings to have them fitted Thanks

Hello all The OSR shock absorber on my Glanza needs replacing. The guy who inspected it said that it can be replaced with a OSR shock absorber from a normal Toyota Starlet. Can anyone please confirm if this is true or not as i need to get the shock absorber very soon. Thanks
