  1. It would be quite inconvenient for me, can i not just get an idea of the engine oil by looking under the cap, surely if it doesn't look dry in there should be ok?
  2. I phoned the guy up and he said there isn't anywhere else he can move it too, there isn't much space under there. I've had a look myself and can't see anywhere else it can go unless you could recommend something.
  3. Hello all I had me alarm and immobiliser installed yesterday, however the main unit has been put in where the oil dip stick is, this in turn causes a problem as i was checking me oil today and as i pull the dip stick out it rubs on its way out and therefore doesn't give an accurate oil reading. The place where i had me alarm and immobiliser put in stated that there wasn't a lot of space in the engine bay and he did spend a lot of time on it in total (2 full days labour) I've opened the oil cap and it seems ok, theres oil in there and its fairly new (judging by the colour). I'm concerned me o
  4. I presume its the boost gauge, they are just to the left of the light where it says lo boost.
  5. Hello all When do the 3 lights on the rev meter come on, does the car have to run on lo boost or hi boost or doesn't it matter? Thanks
  6. I put in £10 of Esso Super Unleaded (9.7 litres) yesterday and it wont went above the quarter of a line mark, plus there was some left in the tank and the orange fuel light has just started to come on. Does that sound ok or should it have gone higher.
  7. Hi Shelly I think your Glanza is ok and not running rich, the mileage seems quite reasonable, how much are you paying per litre for vpower, as i thought it would take at least £40 to fill the tank up and that is using Tesco Superunleaded at £1.01.9 per litre.
  8. Thanks for the info Do you also clean the engine bay and whats best stuff to use there and on what bits of the engine bay. Thanks
  9. It was my Fiesta that used to judder, just wondering if it'll be the same for Glanza thats running rich, is your idling ok and approx how much miles are you getting to £10 worth of Ron 97 or 99
  10. Hello all What is the best stuff to use on the Glanza for cleaning it. What do you tend to use when you give it a good wash and wax, the dashboard and also the engine bay. Wheres the best place to buy the stuff from as i might go out later today and see what i can get it and give it a good clean sometime this week. Any info on making the Glanza smell nice, what freshener are you using in yours? Thanks
  11. Hello all. Just wondering if the Glanza V is running rich how will i know. When i had my previous car (Ford Fiesta 1.1) it ran rich for some time and i could tell this by the heavy fuel comsumption (50 miles to £10) and when i was going up hill the car would start to judder as if it was about to stall. This problem was solved by changing the lambda sensor. Are the signs similar in a Glanza V Turbo? When i idle my rev meter is normally between 0.75 revs to 1 rev, is that ok? Thanks
  12. I feel the same way, dont want it running out on me and then having to walk up to a petrol station. I didn't know there was a red light, i thought it was just the orange one, which has come on at the moment.
  13. Hello all. Since i've been driving my Glanza, i've noticed that when i'm driving uphill the line in the fuel meter goes up and when going downhill it goes down, from previous experience and cars driven, it has been the other way around. The fuel light also goes off and on depending on if i'm driving up or downhill. When the fuel light comes on how much miles can i get? The fuel light has started to come on whilst driving into work today, the Tesco's is about 10 miles away, should i risk it, driving on Lo Boost and taking it easy. Also where it tells you how much fuel is left, why are the f
  14. That sounds good especially when you give it an occasional thrashing and short trips. I guess i should be expecting at least that with me running on lo boost and driving at low revs.
  15. Hello all I'm about to go for my first fuel top up soon as i've had the Glanza V for a few days now and when i got the Glanza it had already had quite a bit of fuel in it (half way between the quarter line and half way line) Anyways i have a few queries: How much approx would it take to fill up a tank from empty on Ron 99 at £1.02.9 per litre? How much mileage approx can i get on a tank full when driving on Lo Boost, under 3 revs and driving to and from work which is about 10 miles each way in mixed traffic? How many miles can be done when the low fuel light comes on? What kinda
  16. Hello all Just wondering what this button is for in the Glanza? Has it got something to do with running the car more economically? Thanks
  17. I'll give it a go today as there is a dual carriageway on me way back home.
  18. Hello all So far i've only been driving on Lo boost, just wondering what is the main difference between Lo and High, i know the Hi boost will give the car an extra 23bhp (approx), but just how much difference it there between the 2 boosts? The car is fully standard. Thanks
  19. I checked a couple of days ago and Tesco was 99.9p and BP Ultimate was 106.9, i ain't got a clue to what Shell V Power is around my area.
  20. Thanks mate Good to have some assurance
  21. Hello all. I know this maybe a bit of a stupid question, but is it ok to put Super Unleaded from Tesco into the Glanza V. Does it damage the engine? What RON is it as i've been told i need to use RON 99. Its beneficial to me in terms of that the Tesco is only a mile from my house and its 7p cheaper a litre than BP ultimate which is about 1.5 miles from my house. I dont know what the price of Shell V Power is but im sure that'll probs be at least or not more than what BP Ultimate is per litre. Thanks
  22. Hello all I'm about to view a Glanza very soon and just querying about the cambelt, the seller has told me that the cambelt has been changed by the owner in Japan fairly recently. This is verified by a sticker on the cambelt cover to show that this has been done and when. However, i've just been speaking to a Toyota mechanic who had a Glanza and he told me that he doesn't know anything about a sticker and that anyone can just stick one one. He said that the way to check the cambelt is by using a ten spanner and opening the cover, he said that if its worn don't drive and if the writing and nu
  23. Hi Marc The guy who has imported it will drive it from the Liverpool docks and its approx 100 miles from my house. He's a trader and therefore has the trade plates to drive it home.
  24. Seems like a good thing, but i need to know if its definitely a fact, does anybody else know about this?
