Tigra This 1.4 tigra was bought to replace the astra, we have plans to be a tuned 2l twin cam track car with excellent track handling. Possible engine conversions, tuned 2l 16v tuned 2.1 16v (bored out red top) C20LET conversion running big power C20LET either 4WD or RWD(might not happen thou as alot of work) Some pics but work hasent started yet Updates in a few month when work starts. FIESTA My brothers second car is a 1.6 mk5 fiesta zetec s. we are both fanatical about cars and tuning them, so we both decided to do major conversions. He searched the net and eventually bought a full engine throttle body kit from shaw speed. The rebuild has now started and should not be long before its up and running. any way ill put up some pics and let them do the talking. Cosworth front brakes and AP coily's The block and gearbox More painted parts for rebuild The spare car Alot of time has been spent on the car, almost every part underneath has been removed reconditioned and sprayed or replaced. Brakes finished and engine build starting this weekend hopefully. Thanks Gary

As some of you may know i share a workshop with my older brother, It started about a year ago just as storage, then we got a few cars, and as both experienced in mechanics, electrics and engineering it just got more busy over time. We now have several projects with constant improvements and perfections being made. I thought i would give all of you a look inside at some of the projects and keep it updated over time, MK2 Astra, From previous posts, poeple on here have seen our astra which was our first track car firstly for Crail Raceway but when we got a taste of Knockhill, Crail was never spoken about lol. Here is Some pics and spec. Sadly after a trip to crail receway, we lost 3rd gear completely after a wrong gear change at full revs (nasty!) So it was back in the workshop to change the box from a F20 to a F16, until we had time to repait the damaged box. After the car was put back together a few more runs we managed to get a 15.3 1/4 mile time. Happy enough at that we decided to take on Knockhill. Spec. 2l 16v C20XE engine with 4 branch manifold relocated filter OMP front and rear strut braces Lowering springs Red stuff pads all round full stainless exhaust system sabelt harnesses corsa sport seats mountney racing steering wheel stripped out interior vauxhall wheels Probably missed something but ill update if i have. Sadly the astra's life is coming to an end, but the engine will live on in the next project as the shell has been beaten by rust. More projects and pics soon Thanks Gary

Witch Model Shall I Choose...need Alittle Help :p
ToyotaTech15 replied to squarepants's topic in Lifestyle General
I think Sportif or S, i have a Sportif and has very little extras, No electric mirrors No sunroof No electric windows No central locking Is alot of extras to live without, but if you are going for the stripped interior like i have it works well Gary -
After Recently finding out I could change my sportif dials to ones with a rev counter i thought i should post up to let everyone know for future reference. The dials from a starlet CD model will fit directly with no wire swapping what so ever. Here is a guide on how to remove and refit dials(non sportif) Up to step 12 will help with remove and refit. click Here is a guide on how to correct the mileage if changing clocks click If easier some more help can be found in here click Hope this helps someone, Also i would suggest a carbon dial sorround from Idrees as they really finish the dials off neatly and dont cost a bomb either, its definatly different from the Paseo and SR conversion Thanks Gary
