  1. thank you its turning into a longer job then i wanted it to be. once i can clear the room and concentrate on mr2 only it i will be happy. apart from cost luckly spread it out so not really noticed it as much as one lump sum.

  3. starlet mate. all things above relate to my ep82. i sold clio little while ago. mr2 is being rebuilt for late summer hope 500bhp if all goes well
  4. i had a dyno run today at santa pod made 201bhp and 171lb foot @13psi with td04. ran qtr in 13.9 @103mph and i think i sold my car all in the same day. which was handy good day in all.
  5. i went today got a 13.90 @103mph car is ep82 with td04. i had it on the rolling road up there and it made 201bhp at 1 bar peak then holding at 13psi. i was happy the fueling was ok as well which proves you can use 330cc injectors on standard ecu.
  6. a friend of mine ised 330cc and he surfed from hunting at low revs. i have blocked off every vac line including power steering etc. and some inside the thottle body and set it up ok. ticks over fine like i say no flat spots or hesitation. the mount on the gearbox was the biggest hassle and the fact my thottle postion sensor was diffrent to manual one. apart from parts list that you need to sorce. only part i had to get from toyota was the bracket that holds the transmission cables in place and small clips. i was lucky and sold of most of my bits to pay for other stuff like manifolds and downpi

  8. after months of hassle i have finished my starlet conversion from auto to manual and fitting td04 at the same time. hopefully i can answer any questions anyone else has on the conversion as the guide i got from the boy and his dad link. is ok but not complete. regards the turbo conversion again i made most of my own stuff and it could be done using the standard cast manifold if you wanted to no problem. next week i will be getting the exhaust welded because its held together with a clamp at the moment and rear mount will be welded solid to stop any movement. it goes well and pulls hard all th
  9. did you do it up to the right settings? with a proper torque wrench? why did you do the headgasket change in the first place please? fault on the car? could be cracked block or head was it pressure tested and block crack tested. my mate had a faulty hks headgasket the firing rings would not squash down and it leaked water with out the car running just from gravity(celica gt4). removed it put in a tte one and no probs.
  10. hi i am changing my auto to a manual. engine is in so is box etc. i turn the key and nothing earths are good. no click from starter motor nothing only thing that does happen is when i turn the key the clock goes off. does the happen on a normall turbo starlet? dashboard lights up i cant here the fuel pump either unless its a quite one. has anybody on this forum done the conversion before? i will post a long thread once its finsihed. i have also fitted a tdo4 and supra injectors and few other bits so should go ok. i have thought about running another wire to starter motor just to turn it over a
  11. its up 2 him at the end of the day. i think it looks weird and out of shape. every body has a diffrent take on the same generation of cars, jdm look is tidy and clean big bodykits suit some cars well but not starlets. cars i think you just cant put a big bodykit on are bmw,escort and saph cossie,mk1and 2 golfs. the v dub boys have been keeping there cars clean and simple for years and they still look good. good job every body likes diffrent things other wise it would be a boring place. cheers max
  12. do you mean you got compesser stall aka wastegate chatter. because compesser surge is something diffrent norm because you oversize the trim or to big downpipe. if the chatter noise is what you are after then its best heard though a induction kit. just remove d/v and cap pipe and plug vac line that fed it. we got my mates smart car to do it and that is only 600cc

  14. i have mine we where going to let it off just to see if it works. thought i might keep it. i would not be surprised if they are illegal to keep in car. as this country is so safe now ;)
  15. hi to insert pictures do i have to upload them to a site first? my cars take up a lot of time not as much as they used to i keep saying i am going to thin it down to one car then just see another bargin or deal and buy another one. clio is going soon as i need the room for the starlet. i am not going mad on her as its not my main project. just changing her to manual,td04,bigger injectors,front mount normally stuff.stripping her out, lowering etc the only diffrent thing really is i will be running on bio ethnel not petrol.
