  1. Thanks William mate, I was pretty set on this! I was looking at it and the wiring for electrical fuel injection is massive headache and I don't know if I can be arsed with it.. I also thought about twin cam or single over head cam vtec engine (D16) with independent throttle bodies. Question I need to ask myself is how much power do I really need in a sub 750kg car. I need it to be balanced and I'm planning to set this one up for track and road. Anyways mate, I might need your hand next summer with it if your up for it buddy! haha B series will be mental mate. Funny thing is there
  2. Thanks pal. Gotta appreciate it's not for everyone ey
  3. haha is the shame in it being a Honda due to the car or the people who drive them? Agreed mate. I've not experienced any yet. It's got a great big choke which has two settings. Seems to let it fire right up!
  4. Aup dudes, So with winter in full swing and some work/new parts to go on to the Starlet, I figured I'd take it off road and buy a new daily to get me around for a bit. I was looking for something cheap and economical really. I almost settled for a Yaris or Micra, but needless to say, I kept searching, hoping for something cooler whilst still being economical.. And then this thing popped up . A 1986 Honda Civic 1.3. Bought with busted water pump. Limped this thing home on a 100 mile trip and it got me home no problems and only a quarter tank of fuel used! Never exper
  5. Bought a Zisco ramhorn manifold and CT9 hybrid turbo off this dude for very reasonable money. Not tested them yet but they seem to be in great order. Will update. He's a top genuine lad, Some interesting work and sexy parts going into his Glanza! A* Seller, definitely recommended!
  6. haha came across this last week whilst looking for something to buy to daily whilst taking Glanza off road. Yes, not very sensible, I know, don't know how I ended up there. It looks like it's been done to a good standard tbh. I'm a fan of the mad body work. But yeah, £12.5 k for a project is wayyy to much lol. I ended up buying a 3G civic anyway, I'll show you guys in abit!

It's pretty straight forward dude. You can access all your forums on there and it's much easier to upload photos straight from your phone. Tapatalk also host their own chat room on every forum group. ah okay i see. so it's not only me experiencing issues.
  8. Aup guys. Anyone else having issues with Tapatalk? My app isn't even recognising or finding ukstarletowners on search. Thanks
  9. project cars 2 is great but I can't for the life in me drive in the fucking rain! It's stupidly hard.
  10. That's a fat sandwich plate ! did it come with any sort of gasket?
  11. Will make your car sound like a rally car haha. Be careful around the feds, I don't think they're legal for road use.
  12. Can be outside of Midlands too, get in touch
  13. Mate is in urgent need of a manual transmission for his Glanza. He would prefer an LSD box. Anyone got one around midlands area? Thanks

    Chops

Chops sacrificed an entire weekend to help convert my Glanza from auto to manual. He sold me a gearbox with LSD for very reasonable money and I have had no issues with it since installation. Really appreciate his help, He was very accommodating and patient in explaining things along the way. In the rush of it all, I managed to cross thread one of my drive shafts and he gave me a spare to use whilst I replace the CV joint on existing one. What a guy! This dude has a heart of gold with genuine passion for cars and always willing to help. A* member who I fully recommend doing business w
  16. Hondas are generally high rpm engines. Scoobys sit at around 3.5k rpm at 70mph
  17. I bet that mx5 is alot fun for a little car! Rx7's demand even higher premiums then S2000s! But great cars never the less. Might be worth looking for a Skyline GTST! Scooby or Evos are also worth thinking about. Wildcard - Pulsar GTIR
  18. yeah mate I get ya. You wouldn't even need to be a boy racer... You could easily spin out by going too slowly around a bend and then giving it a surge of too much acceleration. My mate tells me they're great cars to drive once you've got the feel for them anyway. Otherwise your right, they can easily be crashed lol
  19. You'd be surprised mate. Well looked after Toyota engines are good at maintaining their factory bhp but I think for the prices they're going at right now, they're alot of car for the money. Yes, mr2's are notorious for over steer and being crashed. After all it's a mid engined car, and many excited inexperienced drivers would be caught out without getting a feel for the car first. If as many young inexperienced drivers drove Ferraris, there would be as many crashes. Also, from gen 3 (1994 onward I think), there was some major revisions made to handling and suspension set up which proved
  20. The 2.0 N/A's are 170bhp with 180 Nm of torque which capable of 0-60mph in 7.7 seconds. The Turbos were 240bhp with 304 Nm of torque! Internet says they do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds! Great performance I'd say. I was surprised with my mates MR2 Turbo on practicality. Yes its a 2 seater, but theres reasonable amount of storage compartments inside, and the rear boot is pretty large for what it is. however your right about the 'easily crashed' bit haha... but it is a drivers car ;)
  21. In love with the color of this GT! <3
  22. How comes you don't like the MR2? They're under rated in my opinion. haha yeah will definitely be a bit too much for a 3000 mile trip. Let us all know what you decide to go with in the end pal.
  23. dc2, good choice mate, i'm assuming your looking for a drivers car that's engaging and fun to drive. Comfort is second priority however still needs to be comfortable enough for a 3000 odd mile trip.. You considered a second gen Toyota MR2? N/As are great driving cars, will give 32+ mpg on fuel. If you fancy a baby Ferrari, then you could have the Turbo! Might be worth looking at some classics/modern classics too, easiest of cars to prepare for track. Got a 85 Saab 900 2 door here, can come with turbo engine all going cheap if your interested bud!
  24. Great shout ^ Lexus 300GS or Soarer or one of these bad boys can be had for reasonable money ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-MERCEDES-CLK55-5-4-AMG-SILVER-VERY-NICE-NO-RUSTY-ARCHES-OR-DOORS-/272888862913?hash=item3f897198c1:g:djYAAOSwpKtZ48Hs
