Thx for the reply´s, i even tried with that brake pipe style spanner, but it was just totally stuck. I might just call the local Toyota service and let them do it for me^^ There might be the same job ahead as starlet_SR did have, cutting the pipe and making a new flexi to it.

So, ive got this problem with the old fuel filter, just impossible to get that bottom bolt fully off! I can get it loose with those 14" and 19" spanners, but after 3-4 rounds, its totally stuck, there is already fuel draining out from the filter but i cant get it more loose.. i dont want to use more force (if its even possible to use more force) because i would end up braking the bolt thread/fuel line. Someone else having the same issue? And have somebody used blueprint filter? got one ready to go after i get that old one out..

Some updates: Getting more familiar with a car, changed some filters, oils, brakefluids, bads and discs to the front. Next week its ready for the inspection. Bc racing coilovers are ordered and coming, going to install those after the inspection. In next couple of weeks i hope to get my car polished aswell. New wheels and tyres next month + painting the bonnet. Photos when i have something to show about

So i was changing my brake pads and discs in front and noticed that im missing the hole bottom bolt from the brake caliper?? The caliper is just on with one bolt right now (the longer one/one on the top of the caliper). Where the heck i could find a new one? I did find these part numbers for the bolts: 90119-09003 and 90119-09004, but no idea where to order these. Couldnt find anything from local stores eather.. Now i have this same problem, did someone find what was the issue? i was thinking to change my braking fluids aswell, because i didnt find the problem from brake bads/dics (going to change these anyway next month). I checked the brake fluid cap and there was a text "dot 3 only" or something like that.. what i have readed so far is that pretty many people using 5.1? is it possible to mix the current fluid and the 5.1? how about 4.0? (i guess the current fluid is 3.0) i know that there would be an issue with 5.0, but how about 4.0 or 5.1? which one to choose, any other difference than the boili

Anyone? going to buy these at a weekend maybe.. was planning to buy d2/bc racing coilovers after the rims so would be with the standard/stock suspension a short while only.

Glanza V -97 Rims: 15", 8" wide, 4x100, et 25mm (offset?), Tyres: 165/50/15 Im thinking about that offset.. would those fit with a standard suspension.

So, looking for a decent prize and durable decat downpipe for my stock ct9 turbo. Car is -97 glanza V if that makes any difference.. Pm if you got one!

Just wondering, would it make any difference if i change the downpipe to decat model and the exhaust manifold too for some aftermarket one, would i feel the difference with stock turbo/my current setup?

Hello to all! Thought i move my topic to this area now. So a short review about the car: The car itself is Toyota Starlet Glanza V from -97. Im second owner in Finland, last owner bought this car from import company somewhere between 2012-13 and drove after that only 5000km. Current mileage on the car is about 100 000km right now. Help needed, which way the thermostat should be installed? I removed the old one but didnt look which way it was on there.. new thermostat is installed now and have a little arrow on it and its now pointing from down to up , also got somekind of jiggle valve on it (its now on somewhere between 1 and 2 a clock). Should be correct right?

Some thinking.. my car is eating alot of fuel ! roughly 12-13Litres/100km and that´s alot with this engine.. cant be normal. Must be something to do with that Jam ecu. There were couple of threads about this same problem and now im trying to figure out what´s my issue.. is there anyway to reset this aftermarket ecu? Some suggestions was also: first of all diagnostic check (map sensor error maybe)? leaks in the vacum lines Fuel pressure regulator (i got standard one i think, how to check this?) thermostat leaky injectors If any of these wont work, any suggestions? Thx for the link. Im pretty sure now that i dont have anything stock in there, just need to measure that diameter one more time to make sure that its not 48mm. How restrictive is the stock exhaust manifold + stock downpipe for that ct9 turbo? im running now ~0.8 bar boosts and wont go over 1.0 in any circumstances. I understand if im going for TD04, then i need to replace manifold+downpipe for sure, but do i get that much benefit with replacing those parts with this settings right now?

You did see it correctly That is the one reason why i ended up buying my first jdm car for now. I might be little bit jealous about that car but trying my best to make my own better of course ;) Some update aswell: Next couple of weeks im going to tint my back windows and put some new glanza stickers aswell to the car. Little pieces before im getting familiar with the car and the engine aswell. Near future is the chassis and wheels turn the get something new.
