Yes mate there for the standard bar. They are 20mm internal diameter if that helps you .
Perfect! I've noted your part number so I can order a set when it's pay day. My bushes look 20years old.
-
Are those roll bar bushes for the factory sized roll bar? Haven't been able to source anything locally for the stock one.
-
Hey team,
I know Toyota stopped production of probably all C52 parts, making rebuilding these really hard. But any there places in the UK who may still stock parts? Would love to get my C52 rebuild and in use as it's been a year since my mechanic took it in to rebuild

Great, thanks guys - I noticed there is the icon for the low fuel light on my car.. but it didn't go off, maybe the bulb is blown too.
-
Must be time for another gremlin.. the fuel gauge on my car now has a mind of it's own Does anyone know if the fuel gauge on the tank is the same between EP91,95, turbo, non turbo? There is a wrecked non-turbo locally that I can pinch parts off.
-
If your fuel is garbage.. i wouldn't be upping boost, but yes that's right.

Does sounds like grounds issue. Have you got to the end of it yet?
I didn't in the end, I put back some halogen bulbs and left it at that

Sending good vibes from the other side of the world! Would love to be in England/Europe traveling again. Keep up the good fight guys!

Yep i would check your grounds im sure this happened on my teg after i sprayed the engine bay and the grounds needed cleaning up due to the paint.
A few months ago I actually re did a few of the earths in the engine bay, I'll recheck those.
I found one earth in cabin on the drivers side, just where the bottom of the door is, but it looked nice and clean, I should actually traced the cables back come to think of it, oops.

Hey guys,
My little EP91 failed it's WoF (MoT for you UK folk) on a few things, ones that i will get a mechanic to sort out, but I'm pretty keen to try figure these out:
- Brake lights flicker when indicators are going
The brake light bulbs are.. cheap and nasty LEDs, but could a poor ground be causing this? I will try some proper bulbs first
- High stop light is on when the park lights are on
This, I couldn't replicate when I got home.. so I'm not sure what to make of this. Any ideas?

Ah, too easy, thanks for that!

Hmm I don’t think I have seen your Starlet then. Do you know if there are specific torque specs for when I bolt the new turbo back onto the manifold? How much should I torque the bolts on the manifold/ catalytic?
Sorry man, I have no idea I'm not really mechanically knowledgeable. Someone else here will know!
Sing out when you get your Glanza running and want to meet up Or if you ever need a hand with anything.

Aha, I saw a silver Glanza V parked on Chelsea Street with a sticker on the windscreen like the one in your profile pic!
Yes, the exhaust will still be spinning the turbo but if the compressor side isn’t connected to the engine than no broken bits should be going into the engine causing further damage theoretically.
I’m only driving it from Bishopdale to Burwood then it’ll be parked there until I source a turbo for it. What do you mean it turns pear shape?
Ah nah the Starlet in my profile pic isn't mine Mine is silver, with a giant gash on the drivers side, with silver/grey rims
Fair point in regards to the compressor side.. Bishopdale to Burwood isn't far, I''m sure it will be fine

I might have seen your Starlet! Do you keep it in Linwood?
Do you think it would be safer to take the charged pipe off so the air doesn’t go through the turbo? But this would mean running the car without an air filter in Christchurch which could be just as bad if not worse.I drive through Linwood everyday
You'll still have the exhaust spinning the turbo, so there's no real way of bypassing it. Do you have to travel far? I'd hate to say to nana it home and then it turns pear shape
-
I'd honestly not drive it, just to safe. Tow it home one evening You don't really know if the bearing could have enough shaft play for a blade to get munched.. then it's fun times on Facebook trying to find another 4EFTE.
Once you're home, pull the turbo off and take a look. I'd probably find a second hander
Hello from Chch too! Look out for my silver beater 😛

Interested to see how these headlight clips turn out.. can't remember but I think my headlight mounts are all broken.

i have the book but would like to know what bolts youd like too know about im suprised you dont want clearances ?
Welp, I am am just trying to help them out, if there are clearances and stuff they need checking, if you could take a scan or photo of a couple pages, I can pass it on and see what they say.
At the moment, it's just third gear that needs replacing, thankfully.

Hi guys,
Does anyone anyone have a workshop manual for an EP82 Starlet? Specifically for rebuilding the gearbox? Mine's under the scalpel at the moment, but the workshop doing it are having trouble sourcing a workshop manual for the torque specs.
Cheers!

Any one ordered parts from these guys from japan ? What was your experience like ie where the parts right, genuine Toyota, how long did it take for them to arrive ? Any info appreciated
I ordered my new coolant temp sensor from there, genuine Toyota. Arrived within their specified time frame, no issues
There is partsouq.com as well for parts
-
Replaced ther coolant temp sensor today. The old one looks, well, old. Signs of the cooling system not being that great too.

hello mate no mine was a grey 3 pin, its under the dizzy cap.
I've got a 1996 model and it's a 2 pin, but same location as you're referring to. I think I'll get off my lazy bum and replace it tomorrow

Got the coolant sensor fitted today, i'm 99% sure its fixed the over fuelling situation.
Silly Q - but was that the sensor that sits closest to the coolant hose that goes to the top of the radiator? Two pin sensor?

Polly bushed the front wish bones + lift kit, poly bush the rear axle mounts, rear anti roll bar, we used bolt on hub spacers on the rear hubs widening the rear track by 20mm a side. front and rear strut brace.
It came with a cheap set of coil overs fitted and because it's for road use I'm keeping them on and I'm pleasently surprised with there control and comfort from what I can gather it's the mk2 golf fronts and polo 6n2 rears.
The ep91 i have Is the four door slightly heavier 4 door but these give better chassis rigidity.
It also came with a adjustable brake bias valve fitted and with better brake effort to the rear end has really made a good difference in control when braking late into a bend as well as braking at speed in a bend. The rear end behaviour and weight/momentum shift has been the biggest improvement. The only issue is it's still on drum brake and in stop start traffic I adjust the bias valve so all the brake force goes to the front. Otherwise it just stops dead making for a jerky ride.
I've welded inch box section steel to the full length of the rear axle radius arm. To stop them flexing
Oh and new front wish bone to hub ball joints.
Tyres are P Nero zero very good in all weather + hard wearing.
If feels like a totally different car. Easy to drive fast.
I forgot one last thing the adjustable panard rod on the rear (Polly, bushed)
Ahhh so quite a few mods! For the wheel spacers, did you put on extended wheel bolts too? I feel 20mm won't leave much for the wheel nut to bolt onto.

I had a set of EBC Yellow Stuff, pretty good pads in the cold and not too bad on the track.
