No updates since December when I put the lip on.
I'm off on holiday for two weeks this Friday and a friend who is a mechanic is going to take care of the oil leaks, clutch and replace the cambelt for me
After that I will put a rear sway bar on and start replacing top hats on the struts as they're all shot and one is knocking badly.

Going from the Cobra NZ website, it looks like the springs are interchangeable between N/A and turbo:

On another note, I recently installed KYB Struts and RS*R lowering springs which have dropped the car by about 25m: https://i.imgur.com/CA9rs5oh.jpg

Have to admit, stripping the paint did not go to plan at all and it looks really bad up close... ah well I'll get them sand blasted at some point.

She's sitting on new struts and springs now and oh boy has it really tightened this car up, so happy right now!

My SR had kyb excel G on when i got it. Pretty sure they were the factory upgrade on the SR as well as the TTE springs. I thought it was a pretty decent compromise between comfort and handling. A set polybushes for the Stock ARB and droplinks would also work well in unison with the shocks and springs imo.
I figured being a daily, I wouldn't need such a stiff set up, and they were half the price of the Koni's.
I will keep a look out for bushes. I'm sure after 241,000k's they will be shagged :)

Didn't end up getting Koni's like I had originally planned, I'm sure the KYB's will be perfect and complimented well with the RS-R springs. A little stiffer, a little lower = sorted! For now ;)
I ran out of time today to install these, mainly because I was helping a friend with a hub swap and the donor car ended up crushing the dolly it was on, oops!

Nobody sells them new so it's a case of finding a used one
I had a feeling that would be the case. I'll keep my eyes out on the Buy/Sell section. Cheers!

I've been searching online but haven't come across any. Does anyone sell short shift kits still??

New shifter boot anyone?

Boring update: some of the dash bulbs are going orange, so I shall order some proper LED ones to replace them.. again.
I also lightly opened the door one day and something in the door handle snapped and now it's very loose, time to order a replacement.
-
The body looks quite tidy! Would make for a perfect shell for me
I look forward to progress pics

LED bulbs are awesome! Need to adjust them down a tad to stop blinding people
Dash is all nice and green again after being orange for almost a year now. Much nicer.

Didn't realise original rear mufflers where that tiny haha

Hello to any photoshop experts, would you be able to change the colour of rim rims to white, or to the bronze in this photo: https://www.flickr.com/photos/thatphotato/25383127459/
My car:

Not a huge update, more of less trying to save up for new struts and top hats before installing my new RS-R lowering springs.
I have a new gear knob:
I also have a new leather gaitor coming from England, so that probably won't arrive for another 3 weeks at least.
Finally, I've replaced a couple of the LED bulbs in the dash cluster the traditional bulbs that are green, still waiting for some more arrive to finish it off, but it's looking much smarter now.

Off topic, but where did you get that lip?

I've ordered some RS-R springs from Japan and will get a set of KYB Excel-G struts to replace the stuffed Monroes in the front and KYB's in the back.

25 when I bought mine, 26 now.

Front end looking better!

At least the park light have to be on for fogs to work. Thats normal
Cool - just different coming from Subaru's Cheers!

Weekend update:
- Found a slightly better condition bumper with fog lights, so I have installed this. The car looks A LOT better with fog lights.
- I recently purchased a knock-off Greddy Boost gauge from Aliexpress and this is now 99% wired in and working, I just need to wire up the dimmer and properly mount it
- I also bought some tail lights that feature a clear bottom strip instead of the red, but I haven't put these on as I need to get new bulbs
- I bought some RS-R lowering springs which I have been told are about to depart from Japan, woo!
I will pop up pics tomorrow when there is some sunlight.

Hi guys,
I have recently installed some fog lights on my '96 Glanza V, but have noticed that they will only be operable, that is turn on or off when the park lights are switched on. Is this normal behaviour?
Cheers!

Small update:
Most of the engine work has been completed.
The bad news, the Thrust Bearing isn't looking to the the cause of the bearing whine issue, it's possibly the input Shaft Bearing. However when they tried to split the gearbox, they couldn't as the 5th gear hub (so they say) is seized. Bummer. Will probably chuck a second hand box in there and call it a day. I'd love a LSD box, but they're too rare here in NZ to find, so I'll have to do without, which is alright.
