  1. It's all got blown out of proportion now guys, can everyone tone it down please. Points have been made but we need to remember that this is an open club and people are still more than welcome to attend. As always it won't be appreciated if people are doing things as previously stated, like burnouts/drag racing or generally being complete idiots. Anyone who doesn't have the intention of getting us banned from holding our meets there is welcome to attend.
  2. Why? I called you sexy. Also, you have to come for continuation of the quest for us to eventually touch.
  3. We'd probably need to book something in advance with them I think. Judging by how busy it always is on a Friday anyway the chances of us getting a table for 20-odd is going to be near impossible.
  4. You're such an attention seeking sexy little prick. Riko will be there.
  5. Looks really nice Jo, good job and good to see you finally got a thread up.
  6. That's brilliant mate, good on you for getting this sorted. I'm sure people will have respect for the lights as they would for £10k of their own property. Never had any issues with anyone at Medstone, I very much doubt it's worth worrying about mate. Great job on that though! Now we'll just have to make sure it doesn't rain!
  7. Rick said the same, that it didn't sound turbo related at all, hes certain it's clutch related. Nope, I don't rest my foot on the clutch mate, perhaps VERY occasionally but not all the time, and this really is happening every time I reach the upper revs.
  8. Couple of clips for you guys to hear the noise on: http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s162/bi...icture014-2.flv http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s162/bi...icture017-3.flv I know they're not great quality I had my camera on the floor on video mode.
  9. Idrees had a problem with his but that was a paddle. Joeep91 had an issue with his that was down to a bad installation. Add me, Phil and his brother to the list! Gets interesting.. Thanks for your input Rick, it sounds exactly as he was explaining. I have just taken a couple of video clips hopefully they'll give you an example of the sound being produced.
  10. That's very interesting Phil, I had Rick in the car and he seems near certain it's coming from the clutch too. I remember seeing Idrees had a problem with his really early on aswell? Nick - If it was the bearings I don't think it'd be a scraping type sound would it? I just viewed a few videos on YouTube and they all seemed to be a whine followed by a LOT of smoke. I don't have any symptoms like that the car is driving exactly as it should and I can't feel any boost drop or anything similar from the start of the rev range to 6k.
  11. Just been out and checked for shaft play, there was none at all it seemed to be completely firm and all blades were intact, couldn't see anything that could be causing any issues.
  12. It's a Tongs hybrid mate with around 5000 miles on it since it was new. I can't think of any way that I could've caused any issues with it, I've been running it on low boost since I fitted it until I get the mapping sorted.
  13. I'll check that tomorrow mate, my hybrid has done less than 5000 miles and has never gone above .75 bar though so I will be extremely disappointed if it is that.
  14. I topped the oil up recently, it had gone down a bit but it wasn't concerning low or anything, I'd say it was just below half way. I did the last oil change about 1500 miles ago definitely used the correct oil etc. How would I check for play in the turbo shaft mate?
  15. I'll give that a try tomorrow, thanks for the tip. One thing I will say though is that when I slowly built the revs up without boosting it didn't seem to do it, however when I'm booting it and boosting to around .6 bar with my foot down a bit it happens every time.
  16. I recently got an Exedy Organic Clutch fitted to the car and for the first 500 miles of use I didn't thrash the car at all, I tried to change gears as calmly as possible to give it a chance to run in. Once the 500 miles was up I figured I'd give the car a bit of a push and see how it's coping with it. It pulls fine, no problems whatsoever no signs of it slipping either, however when I hit between 4-5k+ revs in any gear I get this scraping type noise. It sounds like an arch scrubbing or something similar but the fact it seems to happen at the same time in every gear seems coincidental. It's co
  17. Some nice cars there mate, some shocking ones too but I won't point out which as per your request lol.
  18. Haha, the wheel sealant smells amazing, as do most of their products to be fair. Spray and Wipe is Poorboys quick detailer, very good stuff and I dilute it quite strongly with water so it lasts ages.
  19. How much would you be looking to spend on products mate? I could write up a list of recommended products based on your budget.

  21. I put this idea forward months ago and it got shot down, seen the light now then Geo? I'm sure I can supply some input when I'm not hideously hungover.
  22. The retail chains have been getting it over the last few months. It's slowly creeped in to Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsburys in my area. As stated, it'll get you legless on barely any of it whilst actually tasting nice.
  23. Sorry I missed this guys, it looks like a great meet. Nice to see some new cars, and it's actually quite weird how few people I recognise in the group photo! Good job with the pics Chanelle.
