The idle control valve is on the far left hand side of the inlet manifold. Mine clicks like mad in the winter, always has done. In the summer its fine. Just for you're piece of mind you can start it up and unplug the electrical connector on it and it will stop the clicking so you know its that. Just dont forget to plug it back in.

just been told that i was supposed to block that port off so thats cool, still anyone got any ideas about the noise?

Fitted my rocker cover from dave b and it has two breather outlets on the cover that go to a catch can. So when i took off my old one and took the pipe off the pcv valve i blocked off the little port that it went to on the inlet mani, was this the right thing to do? Also since fitting, when on full load, as i change gear i get an extra woosh sound that sounds like its coming out of the catch can, has only done this since fitting, cant think why it would be doing it!

Have just realised it is just the rear discs that differ with the abs

Cant remember, do the discs differ on the 82's and 91's as the 91's have abs? Or are the notches in the cv's?

Agreed autobahn are poo, but for the turbo to have completley fallen off the mani the bolts that brace the cat to the block must have been missing am i right?

Yeah they did the work, its such a shame, i really wanted this to be a pleasurable experience but its turned out to be a nightmare!

My mate had this happen to his, he had it welded a couple of times but it kept coming back so he had to get a new head! Try getting it welded as it may work but be prepared.

Would just like to add to this thread, having waited nearly two months for the car i recieved the car with a non working rad fan, damaged gear linkage and am having to wait for the race spec rocker cover that i have already paid for to be sent down to me and fit myself. So thinking to myself that nothing else about this situation could get any worse i recieved an email today from tm developments saying that they had left a few things off the bill: engine and gearbox oil, head skim and crank polish. I am expected to pay an extra £130 as they forgot to add this! What the fuck! I recieved

its been forged and has got a glanza gearbox now as my old one was crunching. Head has been ported and polished and has an exedy paddle clutch now. Running it in now, did the first oil change today so only a couple more and i can start abusing it And yeah i think it was you i was talking to, lots of cider was involved

Just to let people from the south east area who know me and any others that ive got the gt back from dave now and its all good apart from a few little problems and am waiting for dave to send the race spec rocker cover down as it wasn't ready in time. See you all at medstone (hopefully)

Seconded, i say its the clutch, joeep91 had the same problem with that noise and it was the center of the clutch had broken up and was rattleing like mad!

yes, go back to standard injectors. As said there is no way to control them without management.
