  1. Took my plugs out the other day and there are no cracks on them but i did notice that they were very white and has some build up on them. I have been told that this could mean it is running lean! Could the fact it is running lean be causing the lumpy acceleration? Also i have noticed that if you accelerate on about half to three quarter throttle it is alot better than when you floor it. How can i stop it from running lean. I have got a HKS-Fcon piggyback ecu that i haven't fitted yet, would this sort it out if i put it in? Oh yeah and i also replaced the injectors with a spare set i had and it
  2. After fitting my HDI cooler the whooshing turbo noise got alot lounder. I think its just the noise of the air rushing through the core. Nothing to worry about as my mates does it aswell.
  3. No i haven't. I only replaced them last year in july i think with the NGK iridium ones. Do you know wot the gap should be? Could they be worn out already?
  4. For a while now, at lowish revs in a high gear, say 4th if i put my foot down the turbo will spool up fine and boost up to 0.8 bar instantly but the car feels like its hesitating, it doesn't pick up, it makes a lot of noise but it just doesn't feel wright. I have replaced the dizzy cap, rotor arm and leads as i thought it might be a weak spark but it isn't much better. Could it be the injectors are worn out or maybe need bigger ones?
  5. Hello mate. Check to see if your map sensor is conected, mine idled really bad and i could smell petrol when it was disconected. As for bleeding the system, the way i was taught when i was a mechanic is, take the radiator cap off, start the engine and hold the revs up until it reaches normal running temp, top up the coolant in the rad if needed as the level may drop as it pushes any air out. Wait for the fan to come on and this pretty much guarentees all the air is out. Top up the rad as necessary and job done.
  6. It definatly aint normal! It sounds like one of the coilovers has just fallen off! Its bad. On my D2 box it sais 'not for road use' so even if i tried to get them replaced under warrenty they would tell me to piss off! Its shit.
  7. How do i do it? I just linked it from photo bucket
  8. Not sure about the turning nut but ive had my D2's on since november i think and the front one's sound fucked. They are fine over small bumps but any fairly big bumps or pot holes they make the worst bang you have ever heard! Its doing my head it to! Surely they cant be broken already! Are the pillow balls on yours rusty? Mine are, put some WD40 on them the other day. The only other thing i think it could be is the spring popping off its seat but surely this shouldn't happen!?
  9. Hi, can you tell me how much delivered for one of these. Cheers
  10. Paseo front brakes are the same as MK1 GT's.
  11. I'm sure you know this but just in case, what ever you do, DO NOT block off the breather pipe from the rocker cover!! You will kill the engine! Like he said, put a little filter on it or get a catch can.
  12. Some people say its bad, some people say its fine. Ive had my blocked off before and it does sound great but there's that little voice in the back of my head saying that it could be fucking up the turbo so i'm running the dump valve again. Its up to you but ive spent quite alot of money on my hybrid setup and i dont wanna risk screwing it up!

  19. Hi, i need the covers that go on top of the rear struts and fit round the oem three point strut brace. Also is it possible to get gearbox internals as ive got a busted up gt box that i want to rebuilt and was thinking about sychro's and stuff. Cheers
  20. That definaty isn't normal mate. ABS works by taking pressure off any wheel that is locked up and it does this by the big controll unit on the left hand side of your engine bay. It sounds like it must be the unit itself if it only does it when the abs kicks in. I would suggest checking around the abs unit for any leaks and if you cant find any then maybe try and find someone braking a glanza and get a second hand unit. Wouldn't hurt to get it up on a ramp to check the braking system either.

  22. Ive got a hybrid in and a FMIC and ive kept my aircon by locating it just behind the aircon rad works a treat as the cold air flows through the aircon rad directly onto the filter and still have the aircon. I'm not botherd about weight! Comfort is more important to me, although some sun and heat would be good so i can justify all the mucking around i had to go through to keep it lol
  23. Hello mate. I did my mate's CV boot the other day and from what i can remember the abs notches are part of the joint itself so unfortunatly you're going to have to find some glanza cv joints, unless the gt cv joints you have are abs as some gt's came with abs! Good luck. Alex
  24. Keep an eye on ebay. I got my Blitz DSBC with the proper solenoid for £135 delivered.
