  1. I would definatly say get an uprated actuator. Whats happening is as the revs build the actuator cant hold the wastegate so its opening and that is why you are loosing boost. Uprated actuator will sort this for sure!
  2. A friend of mine aka 'joeep91' has had a cap paddle clutch for just over a year now and recently it started makin funny noises. Has taken it to a garage and the guy said the clutch is fucked and that paddle clutches are no good for road use and will wear quickly. Is this true as i am looking for a new clutch at the mo and was going to get a paddle clutch but now im not so sure! Can anyone clear this up for me ta
  3. This should fit an n/a, correct me if i'm wrong people : http://www.tm-developments.com/index.php?m...products_id=286
  4. Just to say i wont be coming in the gt as its been broken into and doesn't have a passenger window
  5. Cheers mate, can you get in contact with him for me and let me know?
  6. Cheers for the encouragement people! The gt is all locked away now in a secret location so hopefully its safe now. Still looking for a window for the passenger door if anybody knows anyone in the kent area breaking a gt!? If i forge it i will be going 4e as i just think its more in keeping the starlet theme! Also will be cheaper wont it, thinking of getting one of dave's engines!
  7. Cheers guys! Yeah i'm still not decided what i'll do! I'm still not sure wots actually up with the engine because i can drive it around normaly ands its fine it wont overheat, but if i really cane it or go on a motorway its starts overheating! Still pulls really hard(apart from the ignition problem) but once it gets through that its still mega fast! Was looking at it earlier and as i do still love the thing and think it looks awesome! I think i may keep it once ive got over the fact that its been abused by someone other than me!
  8. Just thought i'd let people now that i recieved a phone call from my mum today to say that someone had smashed the window on the gt! They obviously smashed it, then the alarm went off so they legged it taking nothing luckily, but left me with a smashed window, nackered lock and a nice scratch next to the door handle. Why cant they just get their own car and smash it up rather than ruin other people's pride and joy. It so annoying as ive recently had to take it off the road as the engine is mucking around over heating and stuff so i was planning on saving up and going forged(something ive been

  10. No it looks just like my hdi one! If its the one in the picture then you will be fine.
  11. if its the one in the pic then it isn't an autobahn one, the core is totally different and the turbo pipe is also different. As you have said it looks the same as an hdi one! Just get it and see what it looks like. If it doesn't match the pic then send it back!
  12. Ok, you wont get an accurate oil reading on a slope so get it on the flat and check it. Also i'm guessing those lights are on when you turn on the ignition, this is normal, when you start the engine they will/should go out exept the handbrake obviously! oh and the reason it wont start is your battery is flat
  13. I am about to buy a rad cap from a guy on the forum and was wondering if it will fit my gt as it had come off a yaris t sport, anyone know?
  14. where can you buy the cap clutches??
  15. Is it just rubbing on the rear mainly on the right as said before? If so then you will need an adjustable panhard rod!?!? Some lowering springs do come with some of the coils near each other at the top and spaced out in the middle, this is so that it has the same amount of coils as stock springs but will make the car sit lower. So to recap your springs may be ok and you might just need to buy a panhard rod to bring the rear axle back in line as the starlets are shite and have a stupid rear axle that shifts to the right as you go over bumps or if you lower it so this could be your problem.
  16. the heads are the same as in the casing, but the internals for the 4efte are different, better i think, which is why people use them for turbo conversions on the 5e's
  17. i think you need to get forged internals i.e rods and pistons and also most people that do this conversion use the 4efte head i think. I'm sure someone who has done this will confirm this.
  18. Sounds to me like you may have flooded it. As you are used to it starting quickly you may have let the key go just a little to early and if it was about to fire and then conked out this can flood it. This used to happen to my old car sometimes. Just a thought.
  19. Where abouts are you? Ive got my old CT9a lying around if you get desperate.
  20. Its not always the bearing that goes its the oil seals. So have you bought that turbo then?
  21. just found this mate http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42173
  22. If you have that sort of money you might as well save a little bit more and get a Tong GT spec hybrid for £465. Contact Enzo for more info. I can tell you that they are well worth it as i am running one and it is exellent!
