I lost control of a Ford Fiesta 3yrs ago which belonged 2 my father in law, only borrowed it 2 get 2 wrk that day because my Pug GTI I had at the time was in the garage 2 have a new steering rack fitted. Anyway just went round a corner which is a tight bend following other cars on a 30mph limit nxt minute the car had control of me, it was either a blow out or the steering rack went very odd considering that my car was in the garage having that done at the time. I ended up on the opposite side of the road with a oncoming Ford KA smacked straight into it then into a wall. I was very shaken & very lucky, I did damage to my sturnum which was caused by the seatbelt. Father in law gave me permission even though I was only covered 3rd party so I lost his car, but like he says cars r only metal as long as u were ok - I even lost 2yrs no claims - I know how u would have felt shakes the hell out of u, still do not drive that road today I just get the bus to wrk now. U Could always get another Starlet & have a full rollcage in it???

I know that road too, snakespass is one of Britans worst roads, was over there 2 weeks ago I could not believe the risks that people were taking just to get past cars. Some cars they were weaving in and out all over the place, I have seen so many near misses on that road I have 2 kids and drive sensible. It is so very tempting to just put your foot down but having kids in the back stops me. You always get the slow driver in front and it gets frustrating some times but its not worth it. bypass the turbo solenoid. Well thats the best mod i have ever done lol and costs nothing glanza v auto seems to be alive now ;)

SKY will not insure me because i made a claim in the past 2 years it was Malicious Damage to my glanza. I have had a insurance quote from www.carinsurance4u.co.uk/import think i will go with them seems good give them a ring ;) Mel

Hi I have a glanza v auto to love it mine has only done 46k kilometers had mine a year now not had one fault with it. i have thought aboat to bypass the turbo solenoid to does it harm the engine in the long run? Mel

your lucky then you know someone that will do it for that. yeah cost me did a good job though got the head skimmed then head chemical clean and oil seals done to. might as well when its off

i think its best if you just get your gt to your local garage but thats if they are any good lol. if it is the head gasket best not to keep starting it engine may cease up then it will be a new engine hope u get it sorted soon and its not the head gasket. you are looking at £600 to fix if it is

yep sounds like the head gasket has gone. its happend to me before on a mk 1 golf gti i had has all the water gone out of your radiator and your oil looks like mayonnaise. the head will need skimming and new gasket. Mel
