It totally reasonable as it should be made more difficult for young drivers to get on the road as there is already too many, but its does make it unreasonable for the people who have to get their test to drive to work etc etc. Its like a double edged sword! If the new law does come into place, hopefully there will be a reasonable compromise. The law Nordonian was talkign about, that you have to be a R driver which he didnt mention, it means the max speed u can do in a whole year is 45mph anywhere, so maybe that could be a good thing to introduce to the rest of the UK? I had to go thru it, who knows it cud make things a little safer, and make the learning experience safer once thay have got their tests! But after all, thats just a smalll factor, many other things should be considered... Peace Out Joz

Sounds f*ked up Wings... ;) You need to do some more ringing around or get an insurance place u know the people in to ring for you, thats what I did. I have my alloys, full bodykit, lowered suspension and other wee mods such as 4" zorst, induction kit and strut braces all round properly insured fully comp but Im paying over 1k. I also had an accident the year before so basically I have 0 ncd maybe 1 year after the accident if that counts. Damn lucky to insure myself for all that goodness let me tell you espesh at that price. So its just a matter of shopping around really good and hope to get lucky, if I was an insurance company I would have no probs insuring you, I mean just the factory option alloys is hardly a risk as every damn mofo has them, bet their not insured for em. You to me would not be seen as uninsurable not one bit, but tis seems you have come across a v.picky ins comp not worth dealing with. Oh and that company that wont insure you just because of alloys are fudge packers! ;) Let us know how u get on Wingsmeister! Peace Out Joz

Voted! Not hard to guess what for! You will get a proper road feel once you get the uprated suspension fitted, be the RSR and KYB a good solution I wouldnt know, but I have heard good things about them, but dont expect miracles... (I would spend a little more and get some new or 2nd hand coilovers ie Tein Super Streets/HA/Flex or some other type of JDM coilovers, you get much more adjustability and settings to tune your susp with, altho maybe a harder ride, you will get an even better true road feel, as your car will defo be planted to the ground better than the uprated shocks/springs combo, not dissing the quality of course, its just you can do better and you know that! Coilovers = Minted! Agree with what G said, he told me the starlets weak point is the suspension and so true he was, mate if your going the susp route, get a nice adjustable panhard rod in there too, the old one is w*nk! ;) Defo the most worth out of the three choices Rick! Rims make your car look sicker, but at the end of the day they are a cosmetic commodity (to me anyway) Same with the ICE, makes drives more interesting listening to your fave tunes, but is it worth going overboard? Hope this helps bro! I know we are on different wavelengths engine wise, but feel free to ask me anything about susp as I have dabbled a bit in it now ;) All the best with your Stage Selection!!! Hi mate That is the MAF Mass Airflow Sensor, you will need it in your intake system somehow My induction kit adapter has a special slot for it ;) I'm sure you can find someway to get it back into your intake pipe ;) Peace Out Joz
