  1. Me too - works banned it :haha: Steve
  2. Can't get it to work!
  3. Yeah. First things 1st make sure the standard engine is running well. Do a good service and put in some NGK or the like Spark Plugs. Then sort out the basics first (Exhaust/ Filter/ BOV if you like) then move onto extra power. Remember that its best to play safe as you don't want to blow your turbo Power wise my car has a relocated Apexi Filter, TRD Stainless Steel Exhaust, HKS Adjustable Actuator and Blitz Electronic Boost Controller to start with. I am waiting to fit my HDI FMIC, Coilovers, SPS Manifold, New Disks and Pads, Adjustable Panhard Rod etc so that when I raise the boost the rest of the car can handle it. I would also make sure you have good suspension, brakes and tyres as there's no point spinning all that newfound power away or not being able to stop!! Just my 2p worth Steve
  4. Like was said earlier, I'd stick at 0.8 on the standard CT9 as the gains between 0.8 and 1.0 bar are very little and IMHO its worth it for the health of your engine. Thats what i'm doing until I can afford to change the turbo to one with an external wastegate etc and proper management Steve
  5. Done some MORE spending! Decided to gather a few things over the festive period then its in for some major surgery early to mid january Steve

  8. My mate has 2 of these on his turbo - it sucks like a biatch with them on - and looks mint! Just be carefull when opening your engine cover as its easy to scratch them with the corner Steve

  12. I know 3 people who've had Rotas and never had a problem. Altho I agree that proper jap wheels are probs better. Try looking on other Jap forums etc and see whats for sale 2nd hand. They may need a refurb but its cheaper in the long run and you can barter the price down As for locking nuts i'd say get 2 sets off ebay and do them on opposite studs - £150 is a tad excessive! Unless you have a VERY rare super dooper amazing set of wheels on your motor Tyres - try Tyreshopper.co.uk - I found them good. T1R's are not the best value tyre. they're OK in the dry and poo in the wet. They also wear really quickly due to the soft compound. I've just got a set of Yokohama Parada 2's fitted and i'm really happy with them. It tipped it down the other night and I was still getting good front end grip Only cost me £80 fitted too!
  13. Ah - Other side but still not too far! The Bridge sounds good to me, could get some good pics of the cars there too. I'm on ToyotaGTT too, same username Steve

  18. So - all thats going to happen now is when a major crime is about to happen they will short out or kill the power to a certain area to kill the frrd to the cameras. The US are already developing a grenade that emits a pulse charge , a kind of EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) so a quick blast of that and it will knock all the cameras out!
  19. Proper pic of the DIN panel and Stereo fitted: Steve
  20. Meh well i'll just have to do a sunshine dance then! Should have my spare set of winter wheels soon so will be wearing them for now - just need new tyres to get me thru the MoT on Sat Thanks - I looked EVERYWHERE and that was the cheapest I could find them so i'm happy. 25. Cheers mate - going for stealthyness inside so want to keep all the gauges hidden Need to get my carbon dial surround, stereo surround and door switch covers next. Then get my new seats and harnesses in. Not inside but as we took it off my mate turned it upside down onta a rag and the mixture of fuel and crap that came out was black! He's a VERY good mechanic and said that they had either been running shit fuel or its not been changed in quite a while. Just organised for 2 new tyres on friday as the front ones are goosed!!! Steve
