its a starlet forum but any car is welcome here,
Im happy to see any build thread from passionate owners. Its all in the details that no one notices
These mx5 are awesome little cars. Lots of mods you can do these now,
Is this 1.8? They are solid little motors
Looks foward to seeing progress on this

Nice update,
Car sits really nice on those alloys.

You put it on when installing but if they start making noise you will need to regrease them.
More common on suspension bushing

Its a photobucket issue, taggy might be able to sort it.
But dont expect for it to be sorted anytime soon as poeple are trying to figure out the easiest way to sort it out

If you want to do the engine mounts i suggest some tiger seal instead of polybush.
Polybush is too harsh for the roads in my opinion.

They are super cheap "apexi style" gauges. Dont bother with them.
Your better of looking for a second hand genuine set or go for a better quality gauge.
There are loads out there now. I have shadow gauges and I know STRI are good affordable options.

I think the only way mcgregor is going to win is to box dirty. Use his size advantage to push floyd around.
Throw in some low blows, inside elbows and stepping on his feet. Bit of vice grip on the usual headlock position
The clinch will be perfect opportunity for mcgregor to throw him around a bit and put make it very uncomfortable for floyd.
But its a boxing match and i think floyd will win by decision.
I hope im wrong though.
Mcgregor would be the biggest sport star in the world if he wins. He has everything to gain.

Love this mate! How did you do your bumper?
There are a couple of ways you can do it. My way is probably longer.
You can see where i made the cut in the pictures, i used as little of the uk spec bumper as possible
Then i made some holes using a drill 3mm should be big enough. Use a dremel to make a groove so the holes link up.
Then i got some gardening fence cable. Its stainless steel, strip the plastic off and tie the two bumper pieces together. Push the cable down into the groove you created with the dremel earlier
Then to add strength i fibre glassed the back of the bumper joint and filled the places put the ties.
The shorter and better route would be to get a plastic welder and join together using that.
Even though i have not done this im pretty sure it would be easier

Luckily i didn't have too many photos on photobucket
I just went back onto to photobucket and and screenshot the photo and crop them after.
Then used Tapatalk to upload them. Took a little while but im glad i got it done.
The pictures quality does suffer but better than nothing

How did you run a cable that thick to the rear of thr car?
Does it fit under the plastics or will you have to go under the carpet?

Completed the rear suspension today. Put the panhard rod back on with everything else.
Dont know how much you can see in the pictures everything is black. I used stainless steel nylon locking nut on the top mounts
Still using old alloys for the moment
Need to get the front on now.

Could you not just get a normal one and do a retrofit of a projector lense?

Sounds like a good little project.
Td04 is tried and tested and you can get them pretty easy.
I will keep my eye on this

Thanks, I remember you had it a while and sold it to someother guy and i bought it off him. I thinks that's right
It was a good quality conversion, the wiring is all good.
Im pretty sure i have changed everything accept the engine, wiring and the dash. everything else has changed for one reason or another.
Hopefully many more updates to come. Got a lot to do

Depends how the bhp is achieved.
Good ecu with a good mapper it will hold 220-250. Depends on engine health and many other factors
