  1. Cheers for that Dean mate.. Ill try the insulation tape as soon as the weather holds off haha.. Fingers crossed it solves my problem.. And if it does, anyone have a spare lead around ? Cars huh.. who'd have em
  2. Yea i thought they didnt sell single leads, but is there any harm in using a different brand of lead with the other 3 ? im asking that as im sure someone may have 1 lying around i can purchase/borrow just to confirm my theory for now and also keep the car useable so that i can get back and forth interviews etc. Does the symptoms and evidence i found on the lead sound like something that would make the car run this way ? if so would a temporary solution be to use insulation tape around the area where the arcing is occuring ? maybe ill give that a try now. Id like to know more about this tho "
  3. Yea id advise against it.. makes your car slower between gear changes too.. Obviously rather than your turbo continuing to spin when u lift of to change gear, the back pressure actually slows the turbine down therefore needing to respool thus giving u less performance. I noticed a massive difference going from my HKS SSQV to having chatter.. Car was soo much faster between gear changes .
  4. Hi all, Drove the car yesterday and all was fine, then on the journey home it started to get really lumpy like it was running on 3 cylinders. Hardly any power when u put your foot down, just like i had when i first had my car. That problem was there was water down 1 of the plugs where it was steam cleaned. So first thing i checked was the plugs.. All bone dry and no oil/petrol. So next thing i checked was the leads.. All seemed to be connected fine etc but 1 had a small white patch on the very top near the rubber seal at the top. It looks like a kind of burn. So im guessing its arcing to the
  5. it is very quiet with the airbox in place.. Ive now got a blitz SUS and its mega loud and sucky.. altho it gets annoying after a while
  6. on jays pic there is no square hole like on mine tho.. the small little centre part of the clip has no chance or way of being clipped onto/into or under the small rectangular hole.. Thanks for confirming the clips tho joz .. What type of sealer/adhesive would u use ? i took all the remnants of the adhesive strip off and it seemed like a spongy kind of material.. Maybe if i had that on there it would help push the clips into the holes somehow.. Again thanks Joz
  7. Comin along nicely there jimbo Good work mate.. Cant wait to see how the rims look.
  8. Lol i was thinking that they kept being relisted :S lol..
  9. haha.. nah its just i paid £21 for these clips from Japan and am dying to know if ive wasted my cash or not... If its the set i think, you bought them off the same person i got my clips from.. Ninoaec ? something like that.. Cheers for that tho joz.. Finally some concrete facts/proof of what im trying to find out.. Much appreciated.. and im sure kennedy (if he hasnt already got his on) will be happy too
  10. Surely between here and TGTT someone can help us glanza owners by showing if the clips are right or wrong ? Im going mad here.
  11. Not the best but used me fone
  12. Cracking that is lol.. it always makes me feel a bit better about spending money on something i need rather than something i want..
  13. Cheers for that mate.. mega helpful .. sadly either the clips i have are ep82 (exactly the same as yours) or my deflectors are somehow wrong. As u can see from my deflector pic mine has quite large square holes, ive tried many different ways of getting them to fit into that hole but no chance. Argh !! Can anyone with a Glanza please confirm my theory ? Cheers.
  14. yea i know they are the correct 1's but fitting them to the wind deflector looks to me as tho the deflector itself should have some sort of clip on them too.. Heres a pic of mine.
  15. Can someone do us the favour of removing 1 of your deflectors and taking a pic of the clips etc that are on there ? Would be mucho appreciated by many
  16. on my toyota wind deflectors there are 3 square holes in each deflector, i have total of 6 clips. Dunno if urs are different as its an EP82 not a EP91 like mine ?
  17. what size ? am i right in thinkin the paradas dont do 16" .. Ive had yokohama s drive and they were good .. Also had avons on my 17's and they grip awesome in the dry.
  18. Yea thats the 1's.. Yea just clip straight on mate, easy enough. Heres a pic for u.
  19. lol.. asked some japanese trader on ebay if they could get them and he said he had 1 set left. i did ask if he had more/could get more but he said they also dont make them in japan either anymore.. cost me a bomb £21 delivered.. Anyway, do i need other clips too ?
  20. on a side note, i just bought some of those Aero Vu wipers off ebay. They do them specific for the starlet. 18" and 20". Put them on today.. only £11 delivered
  21. Man am i glad im not the only 1.. recieved 2 sets of the small black clips from japan today but aint got a clue where to start.. am i right in thing there should be another 3 clips in either wind deflector for the smaller clips to clip into/onto ? Heres a pic of the clips i had today.
  22. Again thanks for the nice comments.. Yea thats very true about the spacers mate didnt think of that.. And awesome find on the caps.. ill go take a looksy

  24. Cheers guys, yea im still undecided on the gold decals myself but i was having a day of inspiration and they were there so me and my bro had a go.. Glad u like em chaps im well pleased with how they look on the car.. Any benefits or downsides to having those spacers on there ? aside from being able to put the centre caps on that is. Also its gonna be a while before anything else substantial is done as im still out of work lol.. Although i do have some Aero vu wipers coming and also managed to get hold of a complete set of Wind deflector clips from someone in Japan, They are on their way as
  25. Good job for keeping onto it mate.. u wont regret it when u get to 200 and start blowing most other things away... On another note i get about .1 bar creep with my standard actuator too, only high revs tho.. As for EK9's, ive had a lil go with a slightly modded Type R import and it didnt blow me that badly, and my car is running near stock for engine wise. Only blitz ECU, Exhaust, Induction kit. Bear in mind the EK9 type R is 185ish bhp.. Keep the ponies coming mate, Then after year 2 get yourself an evo and start all over again hehe
