  1. Thanks for the quick replies guys.. @ wallace - Yes it was off another glanza mate and was running fine on there ive been told. Guy was 100% genuinely shocked it didnt work and gave me my money back after helping try to get it work for the best part of 2 hours lol. As for the hole the bov is connected to its the original pipe that was connected to the original Recirc valve so should be big enough ? The adapter is a perfect fit into this pipe as it is a glanza adaptor. @ cl - the vac source being the 1 i have my boost gauge connected to yes ? ive got a t-piece in this with the 1 pipe going
  2. Hi all.. Well i found myself a nice blitz bov with correct fitment for a glanza and a good price too.. Went there today, tried it on the car and for some unknown reason it didnt want to dump.. We stripped it down,rebuilt and there was no restriction on the piston at all. It could be pushed in by hand easily and was pretty much mint condition. All i had was chatter throught the Induction kit like i get now. Currently i have the old "recirc" valve hole plugged/blocked and all other pipes blocked to give me the chatter. I put the bov on correctly but still had chatter and no "whoosh" or anything
  3. Seems like a tidy car mate.. First things first.. call me a dick.. but you can insure it right ? aslong as you can then thats goood Water is pink due to the coolant used id imagine and as jay says. You either have low n hard or standard and comfy.. theres not really a happy medium with coilovers etc. Tis very cheap for a 98 model but i got my 96 relatively cheap at the time so you could well be lucky.. Its all about driving it though mate.. see how the clutch is, gearbox, turbo pull etc.
  4. plugs most people use including me are the NGK iridiums.. ebay sell them starlet specific. i think mine are heat range 8.

Just check the leads mate.. if it is arcing you will see a small little burn mark on part of the rubber (well i did) .. look for any bare metal that is showing on the leads.. my tempory solution was to get some insulation tape and wrap that around the area... worked for me until i got a new lead

  7. i had this problem mate.. 1 of my leads was arcing against the head.. that would make the "tapping" noise.. and also run it on 3 has the spark aint gettin to the plug.. check all the leads mate.. see if there is any white residue on any part of the lead..

  10. Yea ive got 6k's and get flashed by other drivers everynow and again..hills etc where the car coming towards me is lower on the road.. Just had my MOT done and it passed no problems at all.. Cant say 100% but i do know that the law states that you must have either light washer jets/wipers or they must be projector headlights.. The glanza and GT dont have either of these so just be aware of that fact.. most cops wouldnt know about it but you never know.
  11. Hey, nowt wrong with plumpuns if they have the airbags to match.. and she's got a half decent car too so thats a bonus .. My plan is to go wash the car.. take some more pics with my newly "acquired" HD camera (dunno what the pics are like but the vids are awesome) and then chillax.. Lookin forward to seein the ol' 98 bumper on there love.. I want 1 ;) *sob*
  12. yea its all controlled by the solenoid... i run mine with it bypassed which then gives you full boost in 1st and 2nd.. Be wary though as with mine now bypassed i can hit fuel cut when its cold outside and i have minimum engine mods.
  13. yea all sorted .. used some jump leads from my van to the car and voila.. running as sweet as before.. Cant get it in for an MOT til tuesday now though ! Grr.. all weekend off and no car to enjoy !

  15. Hi all.. My car hasnt been started for about 2 weeks now as the mot is up and also my tax. Now ive been paid was gonna go get it all sorted today but jumped in the car and when i turned the key it would just turn over slowly. Windows came down very slow when opened and i thought it was a flat battery. I bump started it and it ticks over ok but when i try to pull off or even rev it the engine dies. If i hold the accelerator down a lil it becomes very lumpy. Also my interior clock isnt coming on and the rev counter isnt moving. Is this just a case of me getting a new battery ? or is there some
  16. MOT.. And you need to register it with the DVLA.. Thats pretty much about it.. but be aware. It isnt as cheap as it seems.. Especially now with the GBP - Yen being so much higher.. The price that he charges on there is only to export it to a port here.. When the car gets here you will have to pay VAT on it which is 15% and also a 10% import duty charge.. So basically you need to add 25% on to the cost of the car for when it arrives here in the UK. EG - Car costs £3000 .. He then adds on all the fee's etc for getting it onto the ship etc (FOB Price) which is then usually in Yen. Im n

    My blitz got rid of fuel cut, rasied the rev limiter, adjusts fueling and timing etc.. and was originally for a Blitz K1.. Most mapped ecus ive seen for sale are good for 1bar on CT9.. i was running stock and it was awesome.. Most people go for the Greddy emanage ultimate blue as far is ive seen.. Easily mappable by most decent mappers.. Im not up on it all though so im sure someone else can guide you in the right direction

  21. Had this for a while now.. Going slow i get a knocking which sounds like its coming from the N/S. Also feels very "gritty" when going around roundabouts. Possible wheel bearing ? I had my mate check it out at the garage and he said the drivers side Track rod end/rack end was knocking too. If i shake the steering side to side it knocks, when pressure is applied to the track rod end (from my mate via his hand pushing upwards) the knock stops. Any other ideas ? i dont wanna go spend money i dont neccessarily have to if i can. Also can some1 point me in the best direction to get the track rod
