Heyo, I got some braided lines off mikey, fitted them but cant seem to get the top connector to go thru the bracket on the chassis (where the U shape clip fits).....seems like its a total different shape/size i would have thought tody would have got the exact same made up to ease fitting? any pictures of people who have them fitted? there supported with tie clips atm

clean out all the TB components, when was it last serviced?

im using polishing cloth from halfords to apply and a megs microfiber to buff cheers i only need the one, but its a fookin pain to get hold of tried everywhere best of luck with the op be thinkin of ya bud

ill give it a wash soon and try it your way, guess im kinda stingy when applying lol the megs stuff is expensive i draw the line there tbh you just need to upgrade the wires to thicker ones and clean the contact area dont think things like that actually help

i just lighly apply the stuff then buff it out.......correct? yeh i`ve seen the earth wires on civics just the same, grab some 8 gauge and some crimps do the normal ones first dont forget to sand all the shit off the crimp (usually has fancy gold paint on over the copper) and the contact surface.

i clayed it ayyyyyyyyyges ago only just got the megs polish (student = ftl) i did the 3 step on the bonnet shone really well alse beaded the water nicely but the swirls are still there (im guessing they go away with the no of applications) Yeah i noticed a difference straight away mainly throttle response.......its STILL not finished yet i need that 2-0 AWG ring crimp then i can finish it.

Just a service update really after 7.5k took a nice pic for you all Just worried about the alt + pas belts they look ok but i dont want them to go walkys when on the motorway........so when i have enough beans ill replace them for now im going to concentrate on the brake side of life.....braided front lines n BMC soon to be

Since i signed up ive not read of anyone changing theres i replaced mine today after 77k the filter looked new and i was advised to leave it....glad i replaced it I kept it to one side so i can rip it open and have a good look inside, i replaced with genuine toyota one (brad whore or not) as i believe it probably has the best quality filter element inside compared to a chepo one from the motorfactors....... edit: ill get the part no tomorrow if anyone is interested rrp is ~£34 but i got mine when the ledge sheekey was around

Where the damage is on the top of the head is that where the head bolt goes through by any chance? someone may have tried to previsly get a damaged bolt out or something? as for the valves being bent i wouldn`t rule it out tbh get them all out n check them....lastly the bottom end imo? just rebuild it saves 1000000% headache and being pissed off later if it knocks etc play it safe get the work done and take your time bro :surrender:

the pipe on the bottom of the rad goes round to the block if im corect? to top one is connected to the thermo no?

Just a thought but the water pump blades may have collapsed/the shaft might have broke, common on VW/Audis which run the plastic water pump (yes Ep`s have metal water pumps)....on an audi we replaced the thermo but the car still wasn`t right (pipe from thermo to rad was cold) turned out the pump had shat its self so wasnt circulating the water.
