The car will start without a map attached but will run lyk shit the diagnostic check is the same, if the EM light continually flashes all is well.....dont forget the em light doesnt have to come on for a code to be present could a imobliser or alarm kill be killing it off?

save for better and faster, true.......but for the time being with a budget of say £50-100 you could make it more fun to drive.......after all thats what us N/A owners are doing making the most of what we have till we can afford to get better filter + cold air feed good service, leads etc manifold

Dont full agree with the glanza rear axle being needed on a N/A, 15% or so of the braking is done by it. braided lines, bmcs, fresh pads, 5.1 fluid, new shoes on the rear (cylinder if needed) and your away :harhar:

I have front braided lines and a idrees bmc stopper....brakes feel spongy (may need a full re-bleed again) but if you really whack the brakes it stops quite fast, mind the pads need to be checked for wear. in my opinion thats all we N/A lads need basic upgrade like that fresh pads + fluid.

Have you checked the beam adjuster switch thingy on the dash? headlight bulbs perfect? no fingerprints? no damged bulb? (even if its chipped/damaged the slightest it will obscure the aim and kick up) sure there fitted 100%? headlight unitd themself perfect no damaged lense inside? if all ^ is well i`d get it down to a MOT station and get them to check it on the headlight tester Best of luck bud :harhar:

Just a quick note, i got mag sump plug but the washer i got with it was shite! started leaking with in min`s of putting new oil in.....luckily i kept to old washer and used that. The oil filter make sure its a good-un if you look down it i should have valve thing most cheap filters dont have it....id go get a genuine oil+fuel filter personally. Lastly get the best your money can buy look for the quality names like gates, ADL blueprint etc everyone has solid ace

Yup, just checked it out only problem you will have is the powersteering rack vac pipes theres no "holes" for them everything else checks out 7AFE Tb avaliable from the avensis + carina E 2 coolant pipes on the bottom 3 wires for the TPS (black,blue,red) 3 wires for the ICV (brown, black, black+yellow) 1 vac pipe on top 55mm (internal dia) Just read......http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9703&hl=7AFE no point on a corolla mani really, would be better with the FE and FTE.

1) Clean all the TB + components see if that helps.....then move on to the coolant temp sensor (although if this is faulty it throw a CTS code) 2) Could be the lambda sensor my N/A took a while to produce decent figures and the EM light never showed replaced the sensor and this year it went flying thru
