  1. Talking about a waste, anyone see the program about the srappage scheme? heard there was a minter of a starlet that had 36k on it.....poor thing....any idea where i can look at the program?????
  2. Easiest way from what i understand is use everything from a glanza inc engine and ALL looms this way nothing needs to be modified.....if you use a GT engine thats where the problems start. Dont split the box just drop it as a whole unit and split it later
  3. Not sure whats gone on with what hes said.....in my opinion its 100% changed the car for the better i`d never change it back to standard. Nope^ it wont....all you need is rolla mani top brace nick a few nuts incase you lose some the rubber bungy thing for the throttle cable to sit on clean + spray it if you want
  4. Yeah i put the top bracket on, mine makes a cool noise on the motor way wouldn`t say its cute though BB aslong as the surface was rust free and its still "trapped" under there should be fine, check it from time to time though. You just need to bore that hole the bracket can be re-used
  5. What it is the earth lead has a hole for a 10mm bolt but the corolla mani accomodates a 12mm so the earth lead has to be bored out abit with a file and bolted on with a 12mm bolt....yup all stock air stuff goes back on
  6. Straight on and off.....only thing which is different is the bottom bracket (can be thrown away = weight saving ftw) and the earth wire which needs to be bored out and bolted on.....no leaks, if your gasket breaks when taking the old mani off just use a light film of instant gasket as both surfaces wont be true (dont use the white crusty one if you put too much on it will break off and enter the engine)
  7. If you want an aftermarket one....i`d throughly recommend EXEDY daikin (same stamps etc as the old genuine one i pulled outta my N/A) or ADL (blueprint) Both of which use Koyo release bearings (same as genuine)
  8. You missed one..... There will never be one like it mind... http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....t=0&start=0
  9. Yup, made the car so much more driveable cruising on the motorway pulls really well and accelerates hard. Best engine mod ive done with the K+N panel filter at second
  10. Personally i`d steer clear of second hand suspension (springs are where i draw the line)......may last years or days you really dont know how long they will serve you regardless of what the seller says (no offence to anyone this is just my opinion). Have a look around at some new units and save abit more you`ll be glad
  11. But.......then your wasting water/washer fluid on to the screen for no reason, best to keep both supplies separate incase you actually need to clear the windscreen in emergency situ`s....could get a washer/coolant bottle off of the GT and hook that up easy enough job to do it that way.
  12. Yup the scooby one can be 100% retrofitted to a starlet. ^^^ thats how most people seem to do the DIY ones using windscreen washer jets, Ive got an idea to make one which only sprays when boost kicks in.....no turbo to try it on as of yet though lol
  13. Wheres the problem in that? ^ ........just turn it down/off
  14. Ladies......... http://www.meisterr.com/Site/Toyota_Starlet_EP91.html

  16. Nope not difference ^ just the sticker is different, defo a FTE cam cover though
  17. o.0 not updated in ayges, bobs just done 81k running sweet as a nut...needs a damn good clean and wash though. Service @ 90k will include........ oil, filter, plugs, check air filter g-box oil change sort the RARB out once and for all bleed brakes uprated headlight bulbs possibly fit antilift kit have a general check around to see anything that needs doing
  18. Think the last two posts make the decision for you......
  19. OEM shocks are KYB filled with oil, KYB excel are exactly the same but without the toyota stamps and they are filled with gas (better?).....with regards to your question yes they give a nice drop quiet a few lads have that combo but the shocks will leaks its only a matter of time. in my opinion i`d invest in a new set up or put abit more in and get coilovers........
  20. I think? you need one of these http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/FIELD-One-...oyota-PT1-55221 Check it out http://www.austarletclub.com/forums/index....&pid=146784
