yeah fully welded in mate , a local fabricator did it for me ,was a ball ache sourcin the proper tubing for bending and strength etc.

quick update: Block is back from engineers me and saint matt will start building the bottom end up tommorow. Painted roll cage white today let me know what you think.

sorry i meant the valve heads snapping off due to the increased compression rate of the upgrade springs.

has anyone had this problem of the heads coming off using uprated valve springs?

hardened as using upgraded springs and dont want to rip the heads off.

Hopefully the block and pistons are off to the engineers on monday to get bored out and honed. So bottom end should be done end of next week!

Gearbox Bearings Available From Anywhere But Toyota?

Paper work is at work but it was stupid money nearly £300 for the shaft bearings -
Are the gearbox bearings for both shafts available anywhere else but Toyota as they want silly money for them? Or maybe someone does a rebuild kit?? Thanks

It looks a mess mate every time i open the garage i cry a little bit lol. It has the dash and wiring looms out now so is a total bare shell, god i have got some work to do before rockingham! Cant wait to see your mk1 in the flesh matey it looks awesome !

Does anyone know what size/diameter goodridge hose fittings i need to convert my rocker cover to "race spec" as got a friend who is handy with the old welder. Thanks in advance

have got a CT9/CT20 hybrid with TD04 compressor wheel ,which was fitted before being taken off the road but was on a safe map on low boost so will be interesting when running to full potential!

Quick update: Removed valves,springs,retainers ready for some more polishing, had block and head checked by engineers and got all clear so can now order my forged pistons etc ! ;) Few pics of head coming along....
