Check youre ecu, check the sticker on it..If its the original toyota 4efte then check on the loom for additional connectors leading to a speed limit defencer, such as the hks sld unit. If you check the ecu and find you have a jam etc aftermarket ecu than the chances are highly likely that you will have a fcd and sld onboard the ecu. But yeah, simple way is to (safely) check youre starbo doesnt go past the 112mph mark.

Worth it in the end though, even have colour matching dustcaps, now THATS dedication !

Depends on the traffic and how kind the m25 is to you, Youd probably go need about an hour and half? maybe more if you have trouble finding bluewater or if theres alot of holdup on the m25 bud. Be about 95 miles away for you from portsmouth. -
Them wheels look pretty smart Liam, loving it. Actually gives me an idea for when i get some old rims to tidy up
-
Yeah a mate of mine has his sr bumper slats cut out and some very fine black mesh in the gap. Looks pretty tidy i have to say, Specially with a little trd logo on it And if it looked like a corsa you would.... Sell it blatantly !
-
Hang it with some wire and take it steady to anybody who can weld, even save them some time by cutting youre hangers off youre old system so all they have to do it weld them on. That way they can jus push the hangers in and lift the exhaust up to where it wants to sit, and weld them on.5 minute job for them so wont cost you much at all

I dont have a flip out type, i have one of the jvc av head units with the widescreen display. But its motorised so when you turn it on, the screen moves out and rotates to the set angle for viewing. It used to catch on the lip too, so it wouldnt unfold. Remove the center console panel, Unscrew the Din slot box, and move the change tray which is underneath youre headunit slot, up to the top slot. Fit the headunit to the lower of the 2 slots. It'll then be able to unfold with out catching the heater control area

Ebay bud. Youll find plenty of brand new TD04's plus rebuild kits if you ever needed one etc. Its not as easy as just slapping a bigger turbo on mate, Have a good read up and do youre research first as it'll pay off. Also id suggest running youre starlet with the standard ct9 untill youre used to it, then up the power as they can be quite a handfull to handle with out a decent list of chassis mods. Best to do research on everything you'll need, where you can get them from etc first. -
Amen to that
-
Nice idea bud, i think painting the grill slats black would look smart. Cutting them out is alrite but alot of people do that, would be different to keep them in but black Photoshop ?
-
Whats the top speed you have had out of your starlet?
Glanza_Ragger replied to SweetAs's topic in Lifestyle General
woot thats pretty damn good How are you guys measuring top speed? standard speedo or are you running a type of digital speedo/gps/logger etc -
|0| thats what i was thinking Youre going to have way too much fun trying to get traction
-
RIP turbo, I hope youre gonna give it a proper funeral, bury it and all Thats a savage turbo, what are you going to back it up with bud?

L O L I went to some old air strip in sussex with a couple of mitsi register guys that i know and got 120 on my speedo.Obviously thats not accurate at that speed so who knows, probably only about 90 ;) Imagine getting caught doing that on a motorway or any other public road bye bye license -
Gotta love hammers huh Check on the Greenline website , i know they used to sell recaro and bride sub frames.. Allthough cheapest way would be like Enzo did, just modify universal subframes and weld the frame tabs on.Make sure its a good weld though as obviously all the force will be on them small welds. So no pidgeon shit welding thank you please

Right, my exhaust it knocking and i think its one of the rubber hangers towards the rear, either the midbox or further back.. So does anybody know any prices for the rubbers? I havent been all the way under to look at them, but im assuming ones split and died lol If any of you guys know how much the 2 midsection hangers cost, and also the one at the rear above the backbox cost, i would be mucho gratefull Craig.

They do fit with standard intercooler pipework bud. I have run 3 different ct9 manifolds now, 1 japspeed, 1 cruise and now the roadrunner. Its the same size as the original cast iron item, but without the restriction and more freeflowing. If you dont mind me asking, where did you find the manifold? because i thought roadrunner have stopped fabricating just after i bought mine? or is it 2nd hand?

Knocking from a wheel could be a number of things, try the simple things first like checking the torque on the hubnut, checking all the bolts are tight to the damper etc. Also when the wheels in the air give it a shake to see if theres any play in the wheel bearing. It could feel fine, but wheel bearings tend to make a knocking which lead into a worrying grinding noise, thats basically when its about to collapse

I went in halfrauds the other day and had a look to see if they had any bud, all they had was huge monsters like the sealey jack i allready have ;) I think im just gonna buy the one off fleabay and save the hassle of looking for one. I want these skirts bonded on for next weekend, so i can sort my exhaust knocking, fit my new rear fog and finish the rear off so that i can get the thing booked in for an mot
-
That caravan chock would be ideal by the looks. The car sits 4 inches from the ground, thats from the road surface to the bottom of the jam skirts at the front where the jacking point it. But tomorrow i may just cut some wood up and make a little ramp to drive it on, i need it comming up about 5 inches or so. thanks for the help guys got some cheap ideas there for temporary work ! Craig
-
Thanks lads, i might use the wood trick for the time being but ive allready tryed running the car up two metal ramps and its too low lol ive taken the skirts off for the time being whilst im doing some jobs on it, but i think i may jus dish out the cash for the ebay one, as the sealey jack in that link will still catch the skirts due to it being low at the front then raising up towards the middle.
-
Cheap you say? lol how do you mean a wooden chock bud?
-
Right, need to invest in a new trolley jack as i cant fit my sealey jack under the V with the jam skirts on The cheapest and lowest ive found is on fleabay Ebay jack Have any of you guys bought a low entry , pref a long reach too, where from and how much. Ill probably need it delivered. Cheers guys
