Good man ;) Are you keeping the original revlimit? Or are you thinking about upping it at all? Also are you going to run the forged pistons with standard rods?
-
Im assuming you mean, the alarm systems siren is installed in the engine bay ? Must be god damn loud if its getting in the way and he cant find anywhere else to fit it? Is a full size foghorn ? ;)
-
Amen.Ive ordered items aswell in the past, very fast service ;) Hope it all goes well bud
-
Have you had a poke with the multimeter yet bud ?
-
Then to really get any proper boost out of a td, you would want to look at getting stronger internals. People do run td's on standard internals but if it were me, id forge so you can boost higher.
-
Are you sure you wired the mirror in correct bud? You could have just blown the fuse. Check all the fuses for a damaged one.If theres none that are shot, do as above, slap a multimeter on the items not working and see if there getting power. More than likely a fuse problem, as there only low amp fuses and blow with the slightest overload
-
It should be listed on youre fuseboard diagram under the dash bud?
-
Ahh nope lol. One tidy gt there bud

Me trying to be gangsta...Not exactly happening with the pink bed in the background

Amen to that.Thats the most sense ive heard all month

Welcome bud..Did you buy that GT from a guy in East Grinstead by any chance? Enjoy youre stay mate

I was looking at the NGK items, sposed to be quite accurate units.. I opted for an AEM as its self calibrating.Saves me a bit of hassle having to remember to check it now and again.. Im lazy like that

Dont put ideas into peoples heads about going for a 5e..Thats just breaking the "starbos are a 1.3" rule But yeah, you can do as Enzo said, it all depends on what youre future plans are.May as well save youreself cash whilst you need to change a ring.. Either second hand 4efte, 5e conversion or just replace the rings and check for piston damage. What ever you decide on..Get a free flowing manifold on the next engine.

My V's nickname ATM is HEAPOJUNK Hopefully when its rolling again ill name her properly

A048R are immense in the dry..immense in the dry..and immense in the dry.. shame about being ubercrap in the wet, damp, cold, rough surfaces, english surfaces, irish surfaces, welsh surfaces, scottish roads... well anything other than a dry track..

Anyone ever seen this boost gauge before?
Glanza_Ragger replied to Marc's topic in Lifestyle General
l o l Just because its a TOMS gauge, doesnt mean its going to work any better than any other quality brand gauge. Ive only ever seen one of them before, and it was fitted to a gt4 on japyahoo. -
Some manifolds come with a bung in runner #1.. Some people prefer to take the reading from the cone where the runners join. This is copy'ed from a site i found, as i cant be assed to explain it in my own words, too ill and need sleep EGT Gauges Explained An Exhaust GasTemperature (EGT) gauge is a great compliment to an air fuel ratio (AFR) gauge. Some folk tune cars based just on EGT and some just on AFR but combining both measurements is a much better way to tune. EGT is used for tuning and also as a warning indicator. The EGT suggests whether the AFR is relatively rich or lean. This info

Egt temp gauges usually go into the manifold cone.Where all the runners join on the square ct9 adaptor flange... A/F should go at least a foot away from the turbo downstream.. Allthough i have fitted mine in the decat inplace of the cat overheat sensor (lowest) So you will end up having a sensor in the manifold cone for the egt. sensor at the top of the downpipe like usual for the stock lambda sensor.. and a sensor at the bottom of the downpipe next to the flange or slightly further back. I'm running an AEM wideband uego gauge.Dead accurate and uber fast response. I would either go for aem,

But if he hasnt got room to get a drill in then its going to be a bit of a problem.
-
My mate snapped one of them bolts too, if its the one im thinking of you wont have room to get a drill in. He ended up getting a nut and chemical mettaling it to the snapped thread, then unwound it that way. The lower bracket bolt that is

Get it aligned properly on a lazer jig. If thats too costly for you, buy some camber gauges off ebay, and do it youre self. Get it squatting Im running 1.5neg camber with +0.2 toe and neutral castor.Handles immense and suprisingly gets a fair bit of traction in a straight line too.

pcv valve is on youre rocker cover. Its the litle plastic bit that sticks up and is like a 90degree elbow. Its the breather line.Pop the valve out and check its not clogged, spray some cleaner through it.

Im running a power enterprise filter straight off turbo.Much better than the hench old blitz sus i used to own.
