ah, thought they were for an ep. recaro should make some, no idea about any others.
-
Recaro make runners for the ep dont they? Also one type of bride subframes fit recaros too, but dont ask me which set. or theres bodge and bodgit style hack and weld
-
Sounds fair, I was just wondering because when i was fitting a mates manifold and turbo to his gt, i noticed it didnt have the brace. Is there no other extra supports inside the chassis frame to help strengthen it?
-
Try Dave Burwash on this site.He will sort you out with a screamer. Not my cup of tea though i have to say though. Scotty, where did you get youre screamer pipe from? Has it got a seperator piece to direct the wastegate flow?
-
Well i cant see how a brace that hasnt been seam welded would help, But you sound like you've read more documentation that me..So fair enough. How are GT's braced jay?
-
Yep, puller and allignment tools. Also some high ramps to drive the car on.You want as much room underneath when removing/installing a gearbox as possible. Tbh, its alot of effort if you havent got a proper pit where you can get a gearbox jack underneath.

Ive got to be honest, the front brace bar on glanzas is only bolted on..So if you were to have an accident heavily, the bolts would just snap and the bar would give way. If it was a seam welded support brace, i would definately have a problem removing it, but seeing as its not.. i dont see the harm tbh. The bolts in mine were that rusty they almost snapped when i removed them any way lol

I have some flat , unmarked brand new rota centrecaps for the slipstreams. Check that the bolt for the hub doesnt stand further out than the cap would sit.. IE my rota caps fitted the wheels perfect, but the bolts for the hubs protruded from the wheel slightly, so i had to order some different caps that look like wheel nuts, so the axle bolt sits inside the cap if that makes sense I payed £5 each cap.. if youre bolts dont protrude further than the cap would sit, you can have mine for a fiver for all 4. Plus say about £2 for postage cost. Also check the rarerims website, t -

If youre down this way in the future have to have a little meet of all us lot
-
Welcome to the club mate. Hope you enjoy youre stay

Well if youre doing all that work , id think about changing the rods whilst youre at it. You may as well when its apart, saves you time and hassle if you need/decide to in the future. Standard revlimit will be fine with a td04, allthough some people take it slightly higher becuase of the slight extra lag before the td boosts. Allthough saying that, there not too laggy so its all down to preference. If you decided to take the revlimit up, think about uprated valvesprings, lifters etc. Dont want to be upsetting the valves when youre revving harder Should be a nice build as the td's are prove

Im from Rochester area bud.Wont have seen me though because the V went snap, crackle and pop a few months back. Wave me down and feel free to have a chat with me, no matter who im with. All my mates either own starlets, or have owned them so they will be happy to chat with you
