  1. Think he meant a Toyota gasket for manifold to head since that's where it's blowing. As above though, I wouldn't have used those gaskets, I'd either try again with Toyota/Subaru gaskets or ask the company for a new kit cause you think the manifold is warped? No problems with mine using Toyota and Subaru gaskets
  2. Welcome! Car looks well, as above, spec!! Think there is more members on tgtt from Aberdeen and shire than on here. I didn't meet you the other week on the backroads from kingswells to cults I think it is did I? I was in a black Gt?
  3. It does need an emissions test, but doesn't need a cat. This seems right enough about there not being a match on their system, just had my mot done earlier today, it gets some kind of default test where the emissions have to come under a certain level, mine just passed with full td04 kit and decat
  4. What mods do you have? You must have an fcd if it wasn't cutting at 13psi do you?
  5. How was the standard actuator boosting to 13psi!? What are you controlling boost with? Do you have supporting mods to run that boost? Making the actuator arm longer will lower the boost, anti clockwise iirc. Have you tried disconnecting it and seeing what happens? The actuator hasn't siezed or anything silly?
  6. Out of curiosity, is anyone here an MOT tester and know for a fact this is true about there being no match on their database and having to do a basic idle test? Don't want to be telling a buddy how to suck eggs or my car will fail for me being a dick I don't think enough testers know enough about emissions on imports tbh. When my Gt had a ct9 running 1bar it passed a full emissions test with a decat no probs.
  7. Pmsl@ jizz in my pants Dare say you won't regret your decision. You going to use your ct9 mani with an adaptor plate?
  8. As above, I wouldna say it's as unresponsive as everyone makes out, but like driver said if you floor it in 4th or 5th at 30 odd you will definitely feel it more. Would probably benefit you if you could get a passenger run in one! Realistically, I would have to wonder when you would really feel the difference in response between the ct12 and td04 (I thought the ct12/td04 hybrid was a td12!?) Is there no one round your area that could help you out if you are stuck? We are always here
  9. Haha, the hardest part is splitting the turbo cause it's baked together! One of the pins I cut off with a little hacksaw and the other I pulled out with a pair of pliers. I'm not being a dick here but look at every other rotated turbo, manifold flange facing up, oil return and I/c end facing down! If you get it on the car and it's not ideal just loosen the clamp and adjust! I get downs whenever I get near an engine but I just done all this myself to my own car, a little common sense goes a long way!
  10. The turbo needs rotated to point the oil return in the right direction, so I think you might have to! It's not hard and will make for shorter intercooler pipework
  11. Depends what you have the money to do. If you have a power up kit manifold I would buy the td04 adapter plate and downpipe that's on tgtt. Alot of people that say the td04 is a lag monster haven't even experienced one I wouldn't say there's a massive difference from my ct9 hybrid, but full boost is much more fun! As aforementioned, td04s are disposable and can be replaced cheap, gaskets are not alot of money from tuning developments, a bit of common sense should sort your intercooler pipe, a bit I had previously cut from my ct9 fitted like a glove and there's a chance your air filter reloca

    wideband help

No, just fit it and away you go, self calibrating apparently. 99% sure anyway, I'll check my instructions cause it tells you how to calibrate it for one reason or another! I'll get back to you!

    wideband help

What make is it? I've just installed my aem one, was pretty straight forward as I only used the live and ground as I won't be using it for data logging
  14. That's fucking nuts, I seen it at knockhill once!
  15. It worked! Mine was selected at "rich text editor" changed it to standard and BOOM! Sorted!
  16. I can only "fast reply" from my iPhone 3Gs, nothing else. It's sometimes not even keen on letting me log in! Have no problems using tgtt.com though. Going to try chance the settings as mentioned above though!
  17. Have you looked into the ad08's? They were £75 a corner not long ago and supposedly on par with the 888 but more grip in the wet
  18. Ah yes, loving the wheels, suit it to the ground!! Shame they were a day late but still before Friday!
  19. So how do you know it's running rich? You will need to check it with a wideband
  20. Have you had your fuelling checked aye?
  21. I think it's just that externally gated kits are much more common for better boost control and what not cause it's likely they are going to have a good bit of boost put through them! But as above most people weld the penny shut but I'm sure one kit comes with a little bracket to hold it shut which I thought was quite cool!
  22. I see where that green theme is heading!! Car looks well Brad, hopefully everything runs smoothly for tomorrow. Guy reckoned those wheels might have came off the TT demo car but I wouldnt be too sure as you seen how things were when explained as "mint" look forward to fitted pics!
  23. That's what the add says, I almost bought one before but I emailed and asked If they would recommend it as an oil return which the guy replied with, "personally, no" Not trying to be a dick, just a heads up!
  24. As far as I know it's a 19-16mm reduced you need at 90deg. There was a discussion on tgtt about using a normal silicone hose and most people reckoned it would be ok for short periods but I would stick with the advice above. I got one from sfs silicone but they were a bunch of useless fannys!!
  25. There should be another bolt that socks mentioned
