  1. nahhhhh... Tanabe is what you want
  2. glanza is expensive, but they hold their value well because they're sexy and still run with the best of em. if you're worried about money, for 4k you could get a minter of an ep82 gt turbo, 1995 model, low mileage, suit you a treat !
  3. ye sound, the guy who takes those pics is pretty good. the silver glanza was stockrod from here and tgtt, and the gold/yellow rx7 in that last pic has a full leather interior including a fully leather trimmed boot build, which was done by my father the car itself isn't really to my taste, a bit hardcore for me, but the interior is to die for.
  4. ahahaha, yes, i know that, i was referring to the uk starlet in his sig
  5. i'm gonna eat a gorgeous meal, drink champagne, and get laid. what a wonderful day.
  6. Is yours a UK model? For the third time, it wasn't a factory thing in japan, would've purely been a dealer extra (to attract buyers, obviously), but all depends where it was originally sold. UK models are different entirely, immob/remote central locking etc is more of a selling point over here, whereas the japs get other goodies.
  7. if it was remote then it was fitted in japan as an extra, not an option, will be aftermarket or just a requested aftermarket extra from the dealer it was sold from, not fitted from the factory as a standard item. cars in japan never came with alarms, immobilisers or remote central locking, well, apart from recent ones anyway. Evo's, skyline's, subaru's etc all use just a metal key, nothing more. i believe the punishments for nicking a car over there are alot more severe over there than they are here. I've seen a few with aftermarket systems but usually they're fitted crap anyway. that was lear
  8. Possibly, but its my first name, so either harry or harrison will be fine. ye they have central locking as standard but not remote, obviously. the LSD was purely an optional extra, or aftermarket. if they have them they wont always tell you on the door, just because its only a sticker which is obviously easily forgotten about and easy to peel off/fall off etc.
  9. its a much better idea to use the gearbox speedo converter, allows the mileage to tick up in miles on the odometer too then.
  10. me name's Harrison, or Harry, whichever, usually harry on forums, but yeah, i'll leave it upto you. should work, but just bang 'limited slip diff' in google and you'll get some good descriptions.
  11. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view.php/5601
  12. well you were told wrong, because it was an option on all of them.
  13. they all came with ABS yes, apart from the lightweight version obviously. LSD's were an optional extra, so its hit or miss whether they come with them or not.
  14. yeah ofcourse mate, its horses for courses at the end of the day. i've been warned off second hand suspension just because to be 100% safe you'd need to budget in the cost of a refurb into the price you pay, meaning decent shocks/springs like the ones i posted are a safer bet money wise, well, when they're new anyway.
  15. if you track it then sound, you have a reason for them, otherwise on uk's roads they can be a bit of a nuisance. pot holes, speed bumps, uneven surfaces, it all adds up. Coilovers are for track/show, shocks/springs are for every day use, thats just how it is. I'm not argueing mate, im just giving as good a reason for both of them as i can. Thats the point in a forum isn't it really, to provide unbiased information
  16. ofcourse, but as i said, its justifying the lack in ride quality and expense. two very valid points at the end of the day.
  17. coilovers are the ultimate, but i really cant justify them. The cheapest you;re gonna get new are D2's, which is still about £650, but if you want teins etc you're gonna be paying that for second hand ones.... I want it lowered, yet, but the harshness that you get from coilovers would do me in, as i do 30miles+ a day. I'm after something similar that was up on tgtt a while back. (found the link, see here - http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/viewthread.php?tid=3129 ) Lowering springs, 40mm being MORE than enough, without being stupidly low, aswell as the shocks being adjustable for dampness,
  18. they're having em made up, but they wont make em without big interest in the first place, it aint worth the hassle otherwise. i think its tried to get going a few times but died off, now dave aint bothering because its just hassle.
  19. cheers shag Well, i think its safe to say, only sexy people have duck spoilers, and only sexy cars with duck spoilers have sexy owners.... mwahahahaha
  20. look on there mate, its in the meet section.
  21. i didnt have the car long before i put it on mate, so i couldnt honestly answer that 100%. The clutch began slipping not long after i installed it, so i havent been able to see whether or not its boosting above the 9.5psi it should as standard, although i think the fact its slipping shows that its just ripping it apart, which is nice i imagine its more to prevent heat soak than anything else, i was going to attent the south-west RR session on tgtt next weekend but as i'll be going to torquay for a lads weekend i cant go. im gutted, as i did wanna see what different the intercooler mate over a
  22. if you're boosting 16psi rubix cube, then you have some device on board that has disabled the fuel cut. maybe you have aftermarket ecu, or a home made form of a fcd, but 16psi is a good 3psi higher than fuel cut, meaning either your gauge is reading wrong or it has just been disabled/bypassed i havent been able to really test mine for a while as my clutch is slipping, and when doing so the revs/boost just shoot up and obviously wont give me a good reading, and when under full boost as it is slipping even though it appears to be holding steady, it'll obviously be giving a false reading and not
  23. well as i said mate really there aint no comparison, top mounts will always suffer from heat soak to a certain extent, and can only be tiny in comparison to a massive front mount, but as i said its a good stepping stone. a cheap wepr/autofixed fmic is good for 250bhp+, which can be as instantaneous as you want it, just depends on the set up (and turbo internals) etc. these arc's are prob good for 170-180bhp at a guess, maybe more, but im not exactly sure, i may see if i can get a sard/jam self learning ecu, then up the boost and see how we get on.....
