well as far as im aware toyota never made a 4efhe, they did a 5efhe which was in the sera and cynos which was a 1.5 version of the 4efe, with slightly uprated cams, higher compression, a 4efte inlet mani and throttle body, and a 4-2 manifold with a 2-1 downpipe. this was a 108 bhp engine. i attempted to fit this engine into my car earlier this year, and found out that it would need rewiring due to the idle and distributor set ups, if you really wanna go for a n/a conversion with little hassle go for a 5efe. it is basically a longer stroke 4efe engine and it uses basically the same electrical

yeah, to be honest, im still on standard shocks... 2 an a half years after lowering it!!! i just cant afford to splash out on new shocks... i'll just wait till these go, an then think of replacing them!! Rich.

burst shocks are also caused by dirt. if you think about it, with standard ride height, the dampers are only traveling down their optimum amount, and road grime builds up around where the damper is not going on full travel. when shorter springs are fitted the car basically sits on the perviously optimum height... as soon as the damper travels past this 6 year old grime it rips the seals out of the top of the damper, and the oil gradually comes out. this happened to my rears, apparently this only really happens on rear shocks. yeah, seems to be the best option mate. or just keep the standard airbox, and have another hole in it with some ducting from the front of the car for some cold air. Rich.

they may not be long enough. the 4efte has a dizzy and separate coil, whereas the 4efe has a dizzy with internal coil... therefore the dizzy is much larger and longer, so there may be length issues. Rich.

it reminds me of the crappy delta kits you see on escorts and mk2 astras in max poo.... not a fan. Rich.
