  1. Argh! My tyres won't be here til next thursday now apparently!!!
  2. Your cars have always been at the top of their class Jim! I love CRX's! Classic Wedge!
  3. I'm sure I've passed you on the M77 some time... if not it's been one fairly similar?
  4. Should be good once you're finished mate! How about going for a dark gunmetal colour for the respray? That way you could leave the engine bay and it wouldn't be too noticable?
  5. Yeah -- no compo if you don't go
  6. Can't go wrong with the HKS Silent HI Power
  7. All I had planned for today was to wash and polish the car, go to the gym then chill out in the back garden with my new book and take in some sun... but now I've been running about like a blue arsed fly trying to get 100 other things organised. Just a good job I'm back working at home for a short while so I can walk to work. The car's abandoned outside parked like a corner kick until the tyres arrive (hopefully thursday -- mytyres.co.uk are quite prompt) And it's about to rain!
  8. ^^^ Sacha's malaysian I'm sure but not heard much bad about his stuff!
  9. Oh well slightly better... Dropped the wheel off at Carrick Engineering (I'll put them in the business directory later on) in Prestwick -- the Wheel needs repaired but it's not too bad at all. So final costs are: Tyres: £110 Fitting and balancing £20 Repair: £20 (woohoo -- was expecting about £50) Paint and shit to touch up the wheel: £25 ===================== Total: £175 ===================== So £175 of stuff which I didn't need today
  10. My uncle is in the RAF, and had been posted to cyprus a few years back... Coincidental or what!? Welcome! Get some pics up!
  11. Oh no -- the holiday is booked Just my girlfriend has expensive tastes so it had to be 5star -- I would've been happy chilling out by a 3star pool to be honest!
  12. So the story goes: I've just finished 3x 13hrs shifts and an 8hr shift in a row for my day off today... I get woken up at 8am out of my slumber because the woman working today forgot her keys and I had to go open up for her, pissed off that I was woken up on my day off, I jump out of bed and drive down to open up. Then on the way back home about 100yards from my front door I turn a corner clip the kerb, put a huge dent in my alloy and puncture my tyre. So that means I'll need 2 new tyres (£110), fitting and balancing (~£40) and a repair on the wheel(£??) -- Not good w
  13. I've never been pulled in my own car -- because I mainly drive like an old woman through towns.
  14. You need to declare everything you do to your car that isn't OEM fitment... or your "dads" insurance will be void
  15. That's technically isurance fronting... and voids your insurance if you're the main driver!
  16. The car's been remapped by star on the rolling road so I'm pretty confident the fuelling is ok. PM me if you find the airbox mate and I'll sort out delivery if you could give me rough dimensions and weight. Gonna try the smoothed airbox and panel filter approach. Or maybe just make an enclosed cold air box for a filter.
  17. I'd smoke them... limo black will look a bit dodgy I think, and for goodness sake don't get those horrible silver tints!
  18. Well there's a black quadlight running about drongan owned by a guy I used to go to school with.
  19. Well there's only 2 of those Glanza's left in ayrshire now Stevie Mine's gone The white one with the hooooj wheels is for sale too.
  20. ^^^ 2007 F&M show will be this sunday mate
  21. Did it have a big kit and red lipped wheels?? It probably could have been -- I passed Stevie (in my girlfriends beetle) on the whitletts roundabout at about 2pm, I was heading to mauchline and he was heading down the M77 towards killie.
  22. I've done a few vector images of starlets Gaz -- It's always when it comes to the shading that it starts to look shit for me. Never tried a black one though funnily enough>
  23. Hey Paul -- I might take you up on the free airbox if you're offering it! As for lowering the car I might lay off that for a while just took a pic of this last night (and that's OEM cupra suspension) The cupra suspension is quite stiff, but I still don't trust it for all-out B-road action... will get some new suspension soon tho. As for reliability, the EM light has been on already. It's to do with the remap bypassing the secondary airpump tho so nothing serious. Also the boot lock on mine has stuck open, so the remote central locking only closes the doors -- But so far those are
