  1. *Update* Stripped the front of the car down to assess the damage and make it easier for the Air-con removal and service Smashed wing off! And this is literally the only damage on the car, should be simple to get it pulled back in shape! Then got cracking with draining the old oil and filter, along with the rad coolant, which were all in dire need of refreshing! All the AC junk! Takes up a stupid amount of space in the bay! The remnants of my catalytic convertor And the Cat itself The restriction in the cat was ridiculous! The element in there was like shreddies, but even narrower Got my new oil ready, but waiting on the magnetic sump plug and Blueprint filter to arrive in the post! Along with some NGK Heat Range 7 Iridium plugs Should also be getting my mani ported and filter relocation ordered soon! Need to get the Fujitsubo exhaust looked at as well, sounds like there's a blow somewhere, a trip to Pro-Speed exhausts shall suffice

  3. Addz that definitely sounds like it just needs to be heated up then! My ratchet was useless, when it's running I may just take it down to a garage to get the bolts loosened off, don't wanna risk snapping them! Heat shield was a joke though, one of the bolts has rounded off so I have a mangled (after trying to rip it off) heat shield that needs to be cut off now
  4. Cool cool, I bought the Mobil 1 anyhow, I don't mind 3k service! I wouldn't be comfortable with a 10k service interval to be honest!

  8. Cool! A lot cheaper than I thought it'd be, thanks for that! I've seen Turbo/mani Turbo/cat ones for 50 Euros on here! :S Any idea on how much the Turbo/Cat one is? As I wanna gut the cat too while I'm at it lol
  9. Any idea how much they are? I'm taking my Mani off for porting, should I need to replace my turbo to mani/turbo to cat gaskets too?

  12. Hey Guys, I will be taking off my Manifold and Turbo off soon and wanted to know where is the best/cheapest place to get hold of a new set of gaskets? Or would it be okay using a Gasket Sealant? Thanks, Amjad
  13. Thanks lads! I ordered one off Ebay before I saw your reply James lol (£5) With regards to oil I was thinking of getting some 5L 10w40 Mobil Super 2000 from Halfrauds @ £20, good price? I thought Fully synthetic oils weren't as good, and 5w is too thin for our climate/general use with mostly cold starts?

  17. Cool I think I might go with 7s then! Dan I think 5s are probably best for N/As, I haven't heard of anyone using 6s in an N/A Thanks guys! If anyone has anymore opinions feel free to contribute
  18. Hey guys, I currently have a Stock EP82 Advance, and will be running at 0.8 Bar in the near future. Next summer I will be upping the boost to 1.0/1.1 Bar then eventually want to run 1.1 Bar on a Hybrid CT9 What heat range plugs would you guys recommend? I don't want to change them when I switch to 1.0 Bar on CT9 or when I switch to Hybrid. The car does very little miles so I would want a set which would suit me from my current setup right up to my eventual plans if possible! Thanks, Amjad
  19. =) Thanks G! Nice one Ryan, TOMs is certainly a possibility in the future, but engine tuning is number one priority! I believe they were an option, even on the Advance models. Quadlight Advance with Sunroof & LSD, this is quite the rare model then eh? As above only engine tuning for now, might do a rattle can job for now in black but I will get them done properly in the future! Thanks dude, yeah I'm still super chuffed I own it though! I quite like them & they're light! Not feeling the white though! I'd adore a set of Blue/Black Advan SA3Rs or Red Adonised rim multispoke Enkei's or even some TOM's or Wanatabe's but they'd cost a fair bit! Because I don't drive it I'd rather spend money on the engine and get it faster ready for when it's on the road. Then once that's all done I'll concentrate on making it look better *BIG NEWS* Stripped the front down today to take the AC out and inspect the crash damage. Took off the bumper, lights and grille to find the damage is absolutely minimal! All it needs is a new crash bar, a little piece on the side of the crash bar (held on by a few bolts) and a new grille/Quadlight and that's it! This car just makes me happier and happier everyday! LOVING IT! ;) Should be picking up a new wing tomorrow, and the other bits damaged under the wing on Monday night! Quadlights are some way off though I think! Ooh and my uncle's got into the car quite a bit (funny because he used to take the mick outta EPs) While I'm away at uni he's thinking of bringing it on the road for me and using it as his car, and buying tuning bits little by little, so if that goes ahead, WIN! I'll get some proper pics up of the damage (pah! lol) tomorrow!

  21. Joel it's because it was a nightmare getting the last one off my 4efe, and the 4efte is quite cramped so this'll make life a little easier every 3,000 miles!
