Cheers chaps, I thought the blog would be a good record of what I've done, when I've done it and what it acheived The advantage of simulating on the rollers is that a) you get to boot it in a controlled environment, so no other road users it's monitored at all times and you can concentrate on what the car is doing not the road c) after a mapping session it needs a simulation to check how the car runs on the new map under normal driving conditions and load

This time the final simulation of road driving... When the boost comes in, it's quite funny for 1.2 bar anyway

Thanks for that, My problem is that if I sand down the whole bonnet, using I presume very fine grade wet and dry? I don't want to scratch the bonnet at all as I'm not getting it re-lacquered, just going to leave it matt. If I can't get it dipped in a tank of nasty stuff to remove the lacquer or do it another way I'm just going to paint the bonnet matt black.

Bloody bonnet...pain in the arse. Since it flipped up on me the other weekend (low speed so no worries) the top lacquer got cracked slightly and with the wet weather, water has got into the lacquer layer causing it to bubble. I've started removing the lacquer (gives it the matt carbon race car look too, which is a bonus) but the areas that water didn't get into won't budge. Tried heatgun, adhesive remover...so I give up. Does anyone know someone (maybe a bodyshop) in the Surrey area? or anywhere for that matter who will strip the lacquer from the bonnet for me as it's a right fecker of a job. Mark

Jimmy, I don't use a BOV, just an 80mm to 60mm (at the filter neck) 90 deg bend of pipe from the turbo to the Blitz SUS on the front bumper. The car started to flutter when the filter was relocated there (shorter pipe length did it). The video doesn't do the sound justice. There were other members of the GT-Art team coming into the dyno cell wondering what all the noise was Enzo, if you meant me...on price...from GT-Art? The mapping session took a few hours and came to a total of £506 with £31 of fuel. Not cheap but I was impressed with the service and how Gary went about things.
