  1. yeh its really strange.. boost takes longer to kick in but all the pipes are tight. fukin car is pissin me off!
  2. nah it was running too lean , was up at 15 afr at 4k rpm, eventually narrowed it down to the fuel filter which was changed and it ran soo much better but now its shit. very strange and annoying!
  3. i just put fresh fuel in but the proiblem is the same.. the turbo might be fucked i guess.. can see their being any other issue. think i'll take it to the garage n let them check it out
  4. it ran fantastic since i put the new fuel pump on, done 120 miles kicking its arse and it was perfect. the dizzy is very tight and no chance of moving
  5. just took the filter off and cleaned it, tightened all the clamps all thru the intake, the power is just not the same at all. even took the battery off to reset the ecu and still no different.. no smoke or anything else different from what i can see.. still boosting to 1 bar but doesn't feel it
  6. so it appears to be that its more flat befor 4k rpm then it starts to take off. checked for boost leaks and fixed any i thought looked dodgy. other thjan that its fine. tried to feel the intake blades on the turbo and they feel alright.. dont understand whats changed as it was running perfect last weekend
  7. So I noticed the chatter sounded different , noticed e filter fell off e turbo , so fixed that but it feels like it's hesitating in second when boosting even though it boosts to the full bar . Any thoughts ? Turbo chatter sounds normal again. Etc
  8. he had one but its sold, i bought a replica a year ago and it was awful, fog lights didnt fit, cuts where shoddy etc, still got it sitting somewhere. anyone got one?

  11. the comp tester was different, last time i used Iain who is well known on the other forum, i wasnt there to see it i just have it on my receipt. im not sure what you mean by dropped? looking again cyl 1,2,3 are 150psi and cyl 4 is 155 so pretty much the same
  12. It had piston rings and head gasket changed before I bought it back 2012. But stock block Yeh
  13. I know I don't have money for a rebuild so not sure what to do with it.. Test was done with wot, plugs out and warm..
  14. mines was the same mate last week, been to a tuning place and had a health check done because my oil was strong petrol and it came back healthy 150 psi across all 4 smoke test and leak down test. everything seems fine, so unless your getting smoke n stuff i wouldnt worry about it
  15. so i went to see Russ to sort my map out but it didnt all go to plan! after hours of waiting i finally got on the rollers to descover she was only giving 4 bar max fuel pressure and was at 15 AFR by 4.5k rpm so after narrowing down where the fault was after 3 hours we discovered the fuel pump was gubbed so once we changed the pump we had ran out of time to look at the map but when we done a compression test it only came back at 150psi across them all and yet 2 years ago it was 180psi so should i be worried? once the fueling was re checked we left it their until i can get the map re checke

Fair enough Jimmy, Spec list- Speed vision gen2 hybrid zisco mani and downpipe nur spec r fmic front mount air filter rrfpr mbc set at 15 psi high octane fuel Dastek ecu with map from previous owner so i was going to HQ to get an engine health check and try alter the map to get more aggresive power as ive heard the dastek units are actually pretty decent when mapped proper. at the moment my GT isnt much quicker than a clio 182 which isnt stripped out which i feel it should be better than it is for the power to weight etc..
  19. can this unit be mapped also? im running a hybrid setup on a dastek just now and was gonna get the mapped checked but sounds like this might be a better way to go if its just plug and play but can be altered later
  20. my engine is still standard and i dont wanna blow it up which is the main reason ive not changed the setup etc.. when i spoke to russ at HQ he said it wouldnt be worth changing to a emanage over the dastek so i imagine its not much better.. the main reason im thihking of getting the map sorted is because when the revs built higher up about 5k rpm it pulls stronger so i cant help but think it needs tweeked as its an old map, a different manifold, downpipe and ver2 instead of ver1 of the turbo..
