  1. well i tried a temp repair on this by wrapping the cables together and clamping them dow, STILL NOT BETTER! i tried disconnecting the lambda, NO BETTER! i changed the fpr, NO BETTER changed the leads, NO BETTER i checked the plugs and they where black though they have only covered like 2 miles if that! so i cleaned them up but still, NO BETTER! Whats left? so to clarify, if i try accelerate away in say 1st gear it splutters and if you dont dip the clutch quick enough it will cut out. Please people come on!

  5. yeh i think so or it gets better.. but its pretty bad below that!
  6. no mate, its idle again but still missing badly.. is it possible this wire is something to do with it? i tried to take the connector apart but their isnt a way to take the wires out and put them in again from what i can see..

  8. i went out tonight with the great help of jezza and changed the fuel filter,(BALL ACHE!) that got it started again which was strange! but then i noticed a wire loose on the throttle position sensor , could any one tell me if this could cause my issues? or what this wire is for? i know its getting supplied 5 volts so maybe that wire provides the power to the sensor?

  10. So I changed the fpr today and it got worse and now won't start, I tried swapping the pipes round on the nipples to check I didn't get it wrong but still no good. So I put the original back on and it still won't start.. I've tried the vacume pipe into the inlet manifold from the fpr also as that's where it's now plugged into . I still get petrol comming out the fpr when I UN plug it . All ignition leads etc are in fine . Any other thoughts ?

  12. just double checked everything and had jezza come have a look.. we think it might be the fpr.. it started dying on idle and now its undrivable, you try pull away and it just dies down to like 400rpm and give it some throttle and it bobbles about and gets its revs back but now cant pull away.. we never touched any leads or anything before this happened. we took the vacume line off the fpr and the symptoms didnt change which made us think the fpr at fault.. any thoughts? their isnt any markings on the unit so not sure what make it is..

  15. turn your volumes up for this so you her what its doing. their are longer vids but take ages to load due to the size. whats your thoughts?
  16. it does look as though the intake pipe has been resting against the top connectors and some look squeezed but its looked like that for a while now!
  17. ok so changed the king lead and ignitor+coil pack and dizzy. still no better. if you try accelerate even gentle in 1st gear it will gangaroo about and same in 2nd if you try accelerate that bit too much and the rev needle bounces about.. im trying to attach a videop so you can see what im talking about. really not sure whats going on now! what would be the effect of the rotar arm being on say the wrong position so say it should be at the top but is put with the connector to the bottom? just so i know.. any other thoughts? i just went and put fresh fuel in also but that was a
  18. sorry for the late reply guys, the dizzy looks near new tbh. its on the correct way and im sure the rotar arm is put on propper. i have performance leads on just now, i tried spare normal leads without changing the king lead and it was the same.. its a clip type im looking for asap really.. give me a text 07912688083 thanks again.
  19. how do we get replacment disks and pads if the disks need machined to fit our cars mate? maybe im just not understanding..

  21. right ok, i'll do that mate (£20 from id-workz) you reckon thats the culprit? would that cause the high end miss firing in 3rd on wot u think?
