yeah i heard it was health and safety because apparently people who mod carz have the most unsafe cars etc but surely if you mod your car you do it right and take pride in it tinkering about most days with it so should be safer than normal cars and people who dont no how to check oil levels and lights etc(thats unsafe!!???) not fittin a bodykit or exhaust hows that unsafe???? any way surely parking sensors and hands free kits are mods and i bet tony blair has them on his car so his car is illegal too surely if they do bring it in they need to set limits but youll still get round it though some how im sure???!!!!

yeah cheers si but i actually thought i could do it quicker but yeah still good @scutch i fitted the standard airbox back on and replaced the sensor that plugs in to it as that was faulty and seems better now!!!

fuck it im gonna go out and do it now its filthy got all oil stains over the back from the old engine where it was throwing it out the bak

yeah mate did get another 4efe easier really @prangers cheers mate may go to that then but cant really be arsed to clean my car and it needs it so might not go to either dont no suppose itll be dark

hey guys good news got my car back together all ok now so should be their but apparently there is a cruise somewhere too tryin to find out bit more bout that mite pop their too

its ok guys i have got an engine on its way should arrive in the week so should be able to get it in on saturday so might still be on will keep you posted ;)

@scutch i got an engine from a place up north for 230quid its got 17000miles on it so should be mint!!!as for how i did it yeah i did valve stem seals on it but didnt make any difference so obviousely wasnt them and can only be two things if its burnin oil valve stem seals or piston rings as for the cause it has been overfueling for a long time hence the flames!!! and found a faulty air temp sensor which was messing all the fuelling about and think washed the bores and killed the oil control rings so hopefully get the new lump in their and run it about for a bit and then sell it but @toymota i dont really want to sell bits off as is too much hassle but if i dont get a good enough price on it then i might sell bits off seperate will keep you all posted ;)

just a quick update the starlet has gone bang doh!!!!! ;) looks like its piston rings and could be a crack in the head so need a new engine if anyone can help????and then once its back together is goin to be sold if anyone is interested in it heres a few pics for reference can get more if anyone wants some

@scutch not really mate i think it seems to pick up better in the mid range but it is minimal or i could be my imagination because its noisy makes it seem faster!!!!! no worries dude ;)

yeah its much less restrictive but i have a resonator box in their just to take the raspines out of the sound and give it a little back pressure so is a little quicker s;ightly larger bore too

actually your all wrong i am replacing the valve stem oil seals because they are wrecked but might polish the inlet ports to make it quicker but we will see!!!!but yeah just thought i would put some pics up too show you lot what its like under their and tell you if they need replacing dont do them its been a right pain in the arse to do

@scutch no it doesent hit or clunk over any bumps i thought it might but so far nothing and its been on for bout 2-3months and been all over the place
